Oliver escaping death is going to be another BS moment, but whatever. What is getting extremely annoying is not wanting to use superpowers: the real canary cry, the Atom's shrinking, etc. It seems they fear Oliver being "less cool" in his own show, forgetting that if the character is written properly, it should not be a problem at all.

Agreed. I'm just gonna take Amell's words as him ****ing with us. If they really jump over the Lazarus Pit I'm gonna be displeased. The show is really holding itself back by trying to ground itself in reality...which makes ZERO sense since he JUST tag-teamed with a super speedster.

Let the show be free, writers. Flourish.

DC's Suicide Squad film probably killed the potential Arrow spinoff series
http://www.blastr.com/2015-1-18/dcs...robably-killed-potential-arrow-spinoff-series

The Arrow version of the team is set to return later this season on the flagship series, and they’ll also star in the latest issue of the Arrow Season 2.5 tie-in comic. Arrow series writer Keto Shimizu told MTV they’re excited to tell new Suicide Stories stories within the framework of Arrow, but noted that the film project has left any potential standalone series dead in the water:
“Obviously, DC, they’d rather not have multiple versions of their characters happening in film and TV. Certainly that affects what we’re allowed to do in regards to Suicide Squad. But at the same time we exist in a totally different universe, and our characters are going to be very different from their version of the characters … And as heartbreaking as that is [fan desire for a spinoff], and as much a lot of us would like to see a Suicide Squad TV show exist, in light of what’s happening in the film world, it doesn’t seem like it’s a possibility.”
Pretty much what I expected to hear. :csad:

I honestly don't think the Suicide Squad episode was all that great to even merit a spinoff. But it did more for me than the Birds of Prey episode which I really need them to do over.

TBH,it's the smart move. You don't introduce the Lazarus Pit by using it on the hero. We should see Ra's use it long before anyone else to establish it first. Then, next season,we'd probably have some excuse for going back to it for somebody else.

Wow! Awesome! And the Falcon at the end. :woot:

Really? I thought it was great! It made me into something of a Deadshot fan after hating him for awhile.

If it were between TV Suicide Squad and movie Suicide Squad, I'll take the movie lineup every time. Plus it means not having a show with Cupid as a lead so. :oldrazz:

He was stabbed through the chest and thrown off a mountain. They better have a damn good excuse for not using the pit, because otherwise it's going to be eye roll worthy. I know this show has been embracing more of the fantastical, but still.

I agree. The wound was fatal. If not the Lazarus Pit, then they're going to need an equally "magical" solution for either healing or reviving Oliver.

I know other characters have recovered from injuries ridiculously quickly on the show, including Oliver, but a sword through the chest is a lot more serious than a few bumps and bruises.

Oliver will get out of this by contrived writing, proving that the pen is mightier than the sword.

Couldn't agree more.

What does it matter if you didn't like that particular episode? A full series would give them the opportunity to develop the concept rather than it being relegated to a subplot in ONE episode.

You just want it to make it to series so you can make a bunch of threads about it. :o

Eh. Then I'd have to sit through these whiny punks complaining that I gave an episode it's own thread "too soon". Who needs it? :o

Finished Season 1. Found the last episode was pretty meh. The rest was pretty good.

Is there anything else other than the herbs and Lazarus that would be able to revive him? I can't think of anything else from the DCU that would revive him after being stabbed and kicked off a cliff lol. Either Stephen is toying with us and it is the Lazarus, or I have no idea whatsoever XD
You all forgot about Vandal savage the other immoral of the DCU that's actually apart of Green arrow lore via Roy's family tree. the Evil cave man turned deadly conquer due to a meteorite BC & world threat to the DCU often cause made him smart super strong & immortal. and as far as I know that meteorite didn't have side effect of making you have impaired judgment of right & wrong it's was cause of the time period Vandal grew in, that he was a scum bag messing the world up.

Unlike the Lazarus pit those of you that watch JL to JLU also shame on y'all. Shame lol.

I'm honestly surprised to hear that, I still remember how much people loved that finale, me included. Calling it one of the best hours of TV they'd ever seen and such.

Malcolm seems to be the one who discovers Ollie's body after the duel, so we should look to him for some kind of reasoning for Oliver's eventual return. His own "death" was at least a somewhat survivable situation (Ollie shrugging of his own wound in the same fight and the possibility of the arrow missing Malcolm's heart are at least logical). But Ra's used a sword and there isn't any real way to downplay the two wounds he inflicted; even the side stab would be a dangerous wound.

Malcolm has the LoA association to explain knowledge of the Pits, and he tangled with and stabbed a Mirakuru soldier during last season's finale, so he could conceivably have a valuable blood sample (Cyrus Gold is also still an acceptable Mirakuru source if they have the balls to bring him back as Soloman Grundy.) Both methods have a legacy of causing mental dysfunction, and Merlyn used a mind controlling substance on Thea.

Therefore, I predict that Malcolm Merlyn the Magician is keeping Ollie alive as his own personal "Arrow" to draw at his enemies, and has brainwashed Ollie so that it's only the Arrow driving. Perhaps Malcolm simply regards Ollie as too damn skilled to be discarded when in a feud with Ra's (Ra's hunt for him isn't being cleared by Ra's death), or maybe having a pliable Mirakuru warrior with Ollie's level of power is too tempting, or maybe he sees Ollie as being "family" thanks to their families' associations, his friendship with Tommy, the connection through Thea, and similarity between them.

If I'm right, then I kind of want to call that Ollie will make his return to fight Slade on Merlyn's behalf.

that person that took Oliver's body to the shed doesn't seem to be Malcom to me. From what the video trailers showed we'll see what happens, cause Malcolm knew the out come & set some one to pick up Oliver's body or if it's just some one unrelated to Malcolm cause that still doesn't make sense for Malcolm to do that at all.

Bring on Black Canary!!!!! She looks much better in motion.

I hope she co-forms the Justice League and forms the Birds of Prey with Huntress and Katana.
