Welcome to comic books lol. Everyone's origins involves some death that pushes them into action.
Would Captain Lance and Lyla also count? What about Joe from Flash?
Damn it don't sent Lyla into the field! .......and hope there are more SS beside deadshot and cupid
I almost forgot....The League taking a crusade against Starling City, because Sara died.lol
Yeah, it definitely is lazy. It's like the only way a person can become a costumed hero/villain in this universe, at least from the POV of the producers, is when they lose a loved one to some tragic death.
sadly nobronze tiger he died in arrow 2.5
maybe they have not been introduce yet.......it still a few episode down the road
Not all of these are from the comics though, they could have done something else. I feel it's lazy and uncreative to use it as often as they have.
Oh yeah, speaking of the SS...I still don't get how Oliver thought that sending Cupid to the SS..where she'll have to partake in suicidal-like missions for the rest of her life until she dies in the battlefield or is taken out by ARGUS themselves, was a better idea than simply sending her to a regular Prison.
Maybe it's lazy I don't know, in the context of the story it made sense for those characters to die. How else as a viewer can I feel like my favorite characters won't bite it, if no one dies.
Or how he trusts Waller enough to send her there considering the ending of last season.
maybe Huntress should be there instead of Cupid......
People can die, I have no issues with that, but it doesn't need to happen to motivate people every time you need them to change or have a justification for being a hero or villain.
So let's do a rundown of things that haven't "made sense" during this season, thus far:
1. Oliver choosing to do nothing about Malcom (prior to learning that he forced Thea to kill Sara), even though he was aware of what Malcom was capable of and what Malcom has done in the past.
2. Ra's whole reasoning in targeting Starling City, due to the fact that it was established in "The Magician" that Ra's did not look at Sara as a real member of the LOA and was only interested in bringing in Malcom to justice due to the latter having violated their code of conduct.
3. Malcom thinking that Oliver could beat Ra's when the latter has had trouble even taking him (Malcom) on during their duels.
4. Thea....just Thea.lol
5. The means that Laurel and the rest of Team Arrow have gone through in order to deceive Captain Lance that Sara is still alive.
6. Maseo deciding to do something for Oliver in the present, only after fighting with Ra's where Oliver should have died (by all accounts) when he could have easily done something else prior to Oliver's duel with Ra's if he wanted to "help" Oliver.
7. Malcom thinking that he can still find redemption.

8. Oliver being able t do anything physical as soon as he returns to Starling City, considering that he had a hard time even walking when he was leaving the forest.
9. Oliver asking Malcom to "train" him, even though Malcom is the whole reason why Oliver is in this mess in the first place. And not to mention, Malcom is scared of Ra's as well and doesn't think that he's capable of beating Ra's, so what good would learning from Malcom do? Also, we had like the whole "Crossover" episode dedicated to how Oliver wants to hold onto his humanity instead of giving it away, and yet he's willingly giving it away by joining hands with Merlin. Not to mention that he's ready to break his no kill policy as well after having spent all of last season to not do so again.
10. Diggs agreeing with Oliver in the Premiere that being a part of Team Arrow wouldn't be what's best for his new family (Lyla and his Baby Sara), only to still be with Team Arrow.
11. Felicity not bothering to call Barry for help during Brick's reign over the glades, let alone the Mayor abandoning the Glades and its inhabitants so that a few politicians don't feel threatened.
They need to do an episode in the future where Black Canary and Arrow have to join Team 7 for a mission.

Confronting Malcolm would alienate Thea.
Oliver made himself an enemy of the League when he put Malcolm under his protection; Sara dying was just a catalyst for Ra's agreeing to fight him.
I'm not seeing why this is such an issue.
There's been nothing wrong with Thea's role so far.
The wisdom in deceiving Lance might be questionable, but it's not the egregious offense you're trying to paint it as being.
Seriously? You wanted Maseo to get both himself and Oliver slaughtered?
My days of taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.
There was clearly more time between the scene with him and Tatsu in the forest and his arrival in Starling.
This "complaint" has already been addressed.
Did you fall asleep during the events of episode 3? Sara's murder changed everything.
Really? Now you're just looking for nonsensical things to complain about. Barry and his team have their own crap to worry about in Central City.
The wisdom in deceiving Lance might be questionable, but it's not the egregious offense you're trying to paint it as being.
It's actually really ****ing egregious at this point. This man's daughter was killed. Everyone close to Sara knows this besides her own father, who, by the way, actually even knew she was the Canary. Instead of somehow letting him know of her death, they've crafted a lie that she is still alive...a lie that seems to have gone on for months now.
It'd be one thing if one of them had simply lied to Lance, saying "Yeah she's around but can't talk". However, they're gone thru much greater lengths than that to lie to this man, even going as far as using magic voice-imitation technology to pass Laurel off as Sara on more than occasion. Lance sees the "Canary" on TV, furthering his believe that she's around, so does the team come clean? Nah, they go deeper with the lie. Also, it seems multiple members of Team Arrow have kept up the lie when talking to Lance.
It's something that should have been such a non-issue, but they've made it an issue (a very creepy, ****ed up one) so that Lance can have some conflict with the team and Laurel, as we're about to see. It's just stupid in every way, though.
