People wanting Diggle to be GL are just as bad as the people who wanted Ward on AoS
to be Punisher/Moon Knight/Fing Fang Foom.

Remember the minority of shippers that wanted Chloe to be Lois in Smallville? Every fandom has its fringe section.

The Lois and Chloe shipper wars were nasty and that was pre tumblr and twitter.

Watching Season 3 of ARROW is like watching a Ping-Pong match.
All the charactes change their views/opinions so much it givs me a headache.

I usually hear Taskmaster. However, if Ward's going to become Fin Fang Foom, I am totally in favor of that ;)

I do think there's a difference. Green Arrow and Green Lantern have a history together in the comics. That history is hard to recreate on a show like this. Having John Diggle (who is in the awkward position of having the talent to be a superhero but doesn't wear a costume when surrounded by costumed individuals) take the role of Green Lantern would be a way to backdoor that history into the show that otherwise wouldn't happen.

I'm fine with the decision not to do that, as long as they have other plans for Digs. But I wouldn't have been upset at the idea (while I think all the Ward ideas with the exception I just mentioned are stupid).

Why? Because you dislike all of their writers there?

Yep. Devin and his mini-mes are a bunch of biased whiners. While the point they're masquerading their article as could be a real point, they're actually just picking a bandwagon to hop on and writing it because it has the wrong logo at the end.

Not really. All the writers have their own opinion and tastes. Of course there is some overlap because people are people. But, Meredith is just pretty much saying what others have said around here (and some ideas not mentioned). She certainly enjoys Flash a lot too.

I'll read what the people are here say. I like the people around here.

Holy Bowie

Also, I've been dabbling into S2 again to see anything missing/different from S3 and one thing that has stood out is Oliver Queen sure hasn't been in the news for a long time... It's funny how little his playboy aspect is played up if at all these days with him not owning Queen Industries anymore.

how nsty was this Lois/Chole thing anyway......

Very nasty, at certain forums, some Chloe fans insulted the actress Erica Durance (Lois) regularly, it was pathetic.

Back on Arrow, it seems Slade will become the mercenary he's in the comics (about time!), with Malcolm possibly paying him to train Oliver and Thea in the island. It would make sense he got help to escape and Malcolm has the means to do that. Hopefully, is also the end of his nonsensical Shado obsession, maybe he will help Team Arrow defeat the LOA at the end of the season, for the right amount of cash of course. :word:

I also feel like Felicity has seemed tiresome or grating to some because she doesn't really get to be normal anymore. In the first two seasons and the little bit at the start of season 3 we had a lot of the witty secretary Felicity, when lately she's more or less just working in the Arrow Cave...

I still like Felicity. I don't like that she's been doing a lot of crying lately, but the character has yet to do anything worthy of scorn.

Just wanted to say something:

There's this thing on the internet where people hate/dislike stuff for no particular reason. It's cool to hate on Ben Affleck, it's cool to hate on IGN, it's cool to hate on The CW. Still, I think it's important to try and distinguish criticism from hate.

There's no reason to get defensive when people respectfully criticize something. There's a difference between "OMG THIS SERIES IS SO AWFUL, **** YOU CW" and "I think they could improve this, this and that."

Now, talking about Badass Digest: I'm not a fan of Devin Faraci, but let's be fair. Meredith (the person who wrote that Felicity article) has been praising both Arrow and The Flash since forever. She's "not jumping on the bandwagon" or being a "biased whiner".

I wasn't getting defensive. I was offended someone tricked me into clicking on Badass Digest. I do the same thing when someone posts a link to College HUmor.

EDIT: And I have no idea who Meredith is or her opinions on the show. All I know is that everything I've read from that site is the "OMG THIS IS SO AWFUL **** YOU" stuff you referred to earlier. And based on the resulting the conversation, she didn't say anything that hasn't been said here anyway.

I'm not going to get in this debate, but for those who are lazy (like me) could you sum up the arguments presented and ultimate conclusions of that article?
