Not to mention even if Slade does get beat, it could be because of arrogance and underestimation on his part about Thea.

Arrogance or not, I don't buy Thea beating Deathstroke on account of him being freaking Deathstroke. He could chop off both of his arms and still beat her down with his feet or something.

Just reading that article, Amell really is a top dude.

As if no one ever has their bad days, or that this guy has been at the game longer then Ollie but Ollie can go toe 2 toe with him.

The point still stands. There is always a way to best your enemy, and Thea has been training by a former LOA member, she is sure to pick up some pretty good pointers. All it takes is one moment of weakness to get in. Slade has been in the game way longer then Oliver, Nyssa has been in the game since she was a CHILD, but it is acceptable for Oliver who has had less then 5 years to be able to stand toe to toe with all these people. Not everything is going to be perfect and it can be done perfectly "realistically". he isn't exactly looking up to par, and it just speculation at this point. People were going at it for Laurel suiting up which meant "she is good enough to become a badass and a superhero" yet that didn't happen.

She's been trained for less than a year, and her previous "fight scene" against Oliver was significantly less than impressive. Nope, she's not beating Slade, not without another ***-pull by the writers.

If Thea ends up being the one to defeat Deathstroke, then the writers have seriously jumped the shark...more so than with how they pulled off Oliver's supposed "resurrection".

Seriously, Thea's one fighting sequence with someone, other than Malcolm, came off as a joke.

No offense to Willa, but she hasn't demonstrated anything within the series's tenure that she could make Thea come off as a believable badass.

Whenever Thea gets angry on this show, she comes off as a whiny, self-centered, spoiled brat.

Where does everyone get the whole "Thea beat Slade" from? All the still showed is that they were fighting, it didn't show us anything other than that they fight. As far as we know right now, Oliver could be just outside the frame.

Yeah, you guys are jumping to a lot of conclusions without seeing the whole thing in context.

He was on the ground! That speaks VOLUMES.

Next week, the Arrow (Stephen Amell) returns to the island of Lian Yu for some training and preparation for his upcoming rematch with Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable). However, the latest Arrow promo for the episode shows that Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke has managed to escape his Supermax jail cell and is looking for payback. However, Arrow's Marc Guggenheim counsels that fans should expect the unexpected in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. "It feels like a coda to season two. It’s not just the final battle, but the final interactions between Oliver and Slade that we didn’t have the screen time to do at the end of season 2 because you’re racing to the end of the season. It’s nice to be able to write a little bit of an epilogue for these two characters. It’s not to say it’s the last time we’ll ever see Slade again, but certainly the story of Oliver versus Slade, the revenge for Shado’s death, that’s the kind of stuff this puts a nice capstone on. When we see Slade again, he’ll be in a different headspace. We’ll take his character in a new and different direction.."

Not really, how often do Oliver or his opponent end up on the ground briefly during a fight. Quite often. Especially if Thea had the element of surprise its not a stretch. You're jumping the gun here...

Because it was a joke...and I was being sarcastic....

It pretty clear that Episode 18 is another "Big" episode and Marc said the title is too spolish to give away so I guess we will know when we get close to the air date

Deathstroke spin-off confirmed :P I love that this is acting as an epilogue for their last fight. It did seem a tad rushed and having another episode dedicated to their relationship will definitely add some closure to that storyline.

Anything Manu Bennet does is epic and to see him again after so long will be a treat. Plus I want to see how Thea stacks up.

Here is my full review of 'Canaries'

They're gonna have to send the Suicide Squad to the island to put Slade And Boomerang back in jail.(Boomerang could've gotten out. Or not)

On a different note, I kinda think Team Arrow could be training each other in their particular field's of expertise just in case.
I mean you've gotta think even Roy could be teaching Laurel some stuff Oliver taught him.
Diggle could teach them firearms.
Felicity could give them a rudimentary course on using their tech.
Never stop training.

...So is Ted Grant dead or not? It wasn't really made clear.

I'm fairly certain he is alive. I wouldnt be surprised if we didnt see him again though. He only acted as a gateway for Laurel into vigilantism. he has served his purpose.

new trainer in episode 16

Code:
from tumblr :
So I was promised we'd know who Laurel's trainer would be in 3x13... did I somehow miss the point? Who is it?

I think that was a typo on my part. 3x16. Sorry.
