Hopefully she does an action heavy bottle episode like The Odyssey, the S3 hand to hand stuff was extremely sloppy.

Yeah, the action of S3 was unimpressive. Really hope the release of Daredevil forces them to up their game.

they dropped the ball with the action, story, characterization, stakes and other things in season 3. With the flash and daredevil having brilliant first season, they really need to up their game and take things seriously for season 4.

They just really need to go back to basics in a lot of ways. Like, I actually need to see the producers use those very words and hopefully admit to their missteps in S3. No ill-fitting character (Palmer) playing such a large role again, no more whining weeping annoying Felicity, drastically less Olicity (they'll likely never cut it entirely thanks to ****ing tumblr fangirls, but seriously, dial it down a few dozen notches), better action, more street-level stuff, etc.

I swear I remember them using those exact words when describing season 3. :funny:

and most of all, we need an antagonist who isn't there to take baths all the time, but is an actual threat.

I can't imagine they would have, since this season was so different from the first two from the very first episode. But who knows...

I just want some acknowledgement on their behalf. They're never going to outright say the season was a stinker, but they can at least say there were things they should've done better. If they can show that level of self-awareness, I'll be fully on their side of things. If they're like "Yeah, last season was great!", then... yeesh.

I agree. If they say "we will do better this time, because we made some mistakes", I will have a lot of respect for them. If they pretend season 3 is a winner on the other hand...

I seem to remember it, however Google has proved me wrong it seems. All I can find is this quote from Screenrant.
Sounds like next year will go back to basics and maybe Team Arrow will find help in the most unlikely of places.

Oops.

But if you want to get your hopes up about less Olicity...don't read the Twitter page of the new showrunner they're adding.

if they don't tone down the olicity crap, I'm not sure i will watch the full season.

Just because she likes the pairing doesn't mean she'll be cramming it into every goddamn scene like they did this past season. If anything, if she has an actual appreciation of the pair, she might use a softer touch and actually give them strength as opposed to being as ****ing odious as they were in S3.

It's not that she likes the two together, it's that she seems to like how it was handled in season 3.

So THAT happened!! Olicity finally hooked up!! Such a great scene! @SchwartzApprovd @antonionegret

Ugh...

Well... we'll see. Hopefully that was just mandatory twitter hyping.

I agree with the post.
Very interesting thanks for sharing. :mnm:

I just started watching Arrow in earnest, thanks to the Flash and Willa Holland. Just watched the first 5. When I originally tried to watch it, I thought I watched the first few, but I guess not. Because everything I remembered was in the first episode. :funny:

Cant believe everytging in social media will happen not surprise the hater jusg need a excuse to attack a perfect season 3

Why do people care what the writer tweets when interacting with fans? The Olicity people are the most vocal ones on social media, so of course that's what the Tweets will focus on. That's exactly why TV writers have Twitters. Why not judge the episodes she's written?

Bingo, I'll wait until we've seen the new showrunner in action before getting all doom and gloom, but I do still admit, those tweets about the sex scene were a little too enthusiastic for comfort. They really need to tone down Olicity, I've noticed that even the shippers are starting to get annoyed.

On his Tumblr page, he does this thing where he answers a lot of fan question, sort of like an informal Q&A. However, most of the questions he answers usually involve a lot of Olicity, while ignoring most smart questions.

Someone gets super serious on set.
By the way, this car should handily convince you that Casey Jones is going to be a bad ass.

I didn't mention a he, but I assume you mean Guggenheim. So again, I'll say, who cares what TV writers do on the internet?

Because they're not acknowledging to the fans who care about it being good that there's massive story and character issues with the show.
