Pretty much. Haven't been a fan of Felicity since season 2, but her strengths are her strengths. It goes

Felicity: Best hacker/computer science
Cisco: Best mechanical engineer
Caitlyn: Best biologist/chemist
Ray: Best electrical engineer/jack of trades
Curtis: Second to Ray in electrical
Stein: Best physicist/jack of trades

Oliver: Best at gluing things to arrows.

Roy: Best at overdramatic, pointless flips.
Ra's al Ghul: Best at taking baths.
Slade: Best friends with an imaginary woman.

I still really enjoy this show, and it is my favourite superhero show (now that Mad Men and Breaking Bad are over, it might even be my favourite show), but the shows quality has taken a drop since seasons 1 and 2 IMO, partly because key characters have not being replaced with characters that are as good or as interesting as them. Slade and Shado were the best island characters IMO, and nobody on the island has been as good as them since. Tommy, Moira and Sara have been big losses too IMO, and they have not been replaced.

The likes of Ray and Curtis Holt have not been good additions to the show IMO, and there have been some other additions that I find poor. There is too many heroes in the cave now too, and I do not think the show has found a way to use them all in a good way at the same time. It is like some of them have to suffer for other characters to look good.

Felicity becoming a more key character to the show has hurt it too, as she is not a character that is very interesting, or has much depth IMO. She worked well as comic relief in the first two seasons, and is still funny sometimes. She seems to be one of those characters that works well in small doses and that everybody used to love, but then once the writers find out that the character is popular and a favourite amongst fans, they start giving them more screen time and jam the character down our throats, and as a result, they character loses what made us once love them and what made them the breakout character in the first place.

People still like Felicity, but I do not think she is as popular as she used to be among casual viewers. She is mainly liked by the obsessive type of fans that grow very attached to one specific character, and like them no matter what they do or say (or at least that is how it seems to me). Buffy did the same with Spike IMO, and the more they jammed the character down peoples throats and gave him more depth and feelings, people began to like him less (not that it is wrong to give a character depth or feelings, but there are times that fans will not like it if it comes at the cost of what once made them love the character, and it seems like that has been the case with Spike and Felicity, or at least it seems that way to me). He was still very popular though, and when he became a regular on Angel, he became a great character again.

I hope that they keep Oliver, Diggle, Laurel, Felicity and Thea and do not add anymore characters and just focus on them mainly. Hopefully no more characters like Ray will be brought in to set up other shows (Flash and LOT owe Arrow a lot and should be trying help Arrow, rather than the other way around at this stage).

I don't agree with all of this but I certainly do with the 2 bolded parts. I think this season has done a good job so far with Dahrk being a very good villain and Speedy filling the role Sara had, it's just no one the team know operates outside their world now, which was where Tommy and Moira came in. The island has been better this season but nothing comes close to when Oliver had Slade and Shado to play off.

I think Arrow's helping hand to others has been an issue and even soon they will help introduce Vixen, but as long as these are one off eps and the main focus is the core 5 of Team Arrow I think things will continue to build on what has been a good season IMO.

There isn't enough people watching Agent Carter to generate any kind of backlash :oldrazz:

Sharon Carter seems to get a bizarre amount of unwarranted hate which is odd because she has only had about five minutes screentime so far.

:wow: Has it not improved up in the ratings this season?

I think Sharon has two issues, the icky nature of her comic relationship with Cap, and the fact she is in Natasha's way lol.

I heard ratings have not been great for agent carter season 2. I don't find the Sharon/steve relationship that weird. She is the great niece of a woman he kissed once. Peggy and Steve didn't even get a chance to date or fondue :cwink:

Arrows relationship match ups are icky. Oliver has dated both canary sisters, their dad is dating felicity's mother, Malcolm fathered Thea with moria, diggle dated his sister in law, Oliver married nyssa who dated his ex girlfriend and felicity has dated three superheroes.

I don't think dating people who are within the circle you live in is weird, but dating the grand niece of your true love is creepy weird. :(

So MG responded to this article about how Arrow needs to treat its female characters better:
http://www.comicsbeat.com/cws-arrow-is-mistreating-its-female-characters-and-its-not-okay/

This was his response:
I read your piece with great interest, particularly given the headline. You actually forgot a few instances, like when Slade Wilson killed Shado or when Sara Lance was murdered.

You also might have forgotten when Robert Queen killed his (male) aide before committing suicide. Or when Tommy Merlyn died. Or all the times Diggle has been in jeopardy. Or the two times Roy was kidnapped. Or, y’know, when Oliver was stabbed through the chest and kicked off a mountaintop.

To date, we’ve removed the eyeballs of two characters on Arrow — both male.

To date, we’ve tortured scores of people — especially Oliver — all male.

It’s hard to escape the reality that Arrow is a dark show where bad things happen — often to good people.

But your focus on what’s happened to our female characters is selective to say the least. Your ignorance of convenience also extends to turning a blind eye to the strength of Laurel Lance, Felicity Smoak, Sara Lance, Thea Queen, Helena Berinelli and Nyssa al Ghu — four of them costumed super-heroes in their own right. And we haven’t even debuted Vixen on the show.

I appreciate you watching the show. I just wish that you weren’t being so selective about it.

are we sure MG posted that? He made a mistake about Slade killing Shado and why would he post in some random article

I am guessing we may not see Diggle "new" helment until near the end of the episode. it possible Diggle helment is damage against King shark which is why a new helment is made

yeah why the heck was he at argus? what happened to the meta wing at iron heights? is that even being use?

Mostlikely had to do with the branch head at Argus central the shaggy man/ general Ralling. and Diggle and his wife are sent on a mission after him and where does king hark head to ? Joe West's house Dum, Dum Dum.

Joe hate's the meta animal's but they seem to love Joe west.

Argus probably was holding him to run tests or as a part of the Suicide Squad.

wellI guess we'll find out when it airs but they have too much power and there's still that general instar city who's even more Corrupt and their probably more since waller to weirdly take orders from them . Lyla needs a new place of work to counter that agency and support team arrow not a place where she'll be having constant infighting with those generals and be waiting for more betrayal form her workers.

So I rewatched some of season 2 last night... Specifically the episode 'Seeing Red' where Moira [blackout]is murdered by Slade[/blackout].....Right before that, she is about to tell Oliver and Thea 'something they need to know about Malcomb'... was that ever addressed? I may need a season 1 and 2 rewatch, i was just randomly watching eps.

I assume that she was going to tell them that he was Thea's father.

She already knew... That's why she was mad at Oliver and Moira to begin with.
Oh, I see. Then maybe she was going to tell them that he was still alive. I am not sure if they knew he was still alive at that point.

I don't know... that seems like a more serious conversation than the back of a limo. lol

Just curious, How many times have DC characters that have yet to appear on Arrow been mentioned?

i dont know, but i do know Legends name dropped batman and superman and i wanted to kick the guy in the face.

Kord industries is everywhere, but we have yet to see Ted Kord.

99% sure it was that he was alive. Neither of them knew it at the time; Oliver didn't even find out until midway through S3. They already knew he was Thea's father and that he was behind the Undertaking (and Robert's death) so I don't think there was anything more significant than him being alive. I was so sure, in fact, that for a moment I thought it was him, not Slade, who rammed into their limo for a moment.
