The Dark Knight Rises Batman 3: Where does the story go from here?

Here is what the story could be like.

The riddler does bad stuff, he kills people and what not. Then batman stops him 2/3rds into the movie and redeems himself. But soon afterward gordon loses his job, and a newcomer takes his job. She starts manipulating the police, and telling them lies, and eventually gets them to try and kill batman. Eventually batman figures out she is talia al' ghul, and she trys to destroy the city with the police force.

I think there'd definitely an Ellen Yindel-esque character needed. (Though I'd prefer a guy, these cliché tough-as-nails female characters annoy me) Because the police has to hunt Batman, and Gordon wouldn't....you know.....try really hard. So the FBI, CIA, or just government would need to assign someone who is passionate about capturing Batman.

Today I read 'Mad Love' and I really really hope Harley Quinn will be in the third movie. I like your idea of her being the equivalent of the fake Batmen.

We as the audience know The Joker is a lying S-O-B, but she doesn't. Ofcourse she heard about it, but she isn't convinced. He thinks he's interesting. But the big question is: in the world that Nolan has created... could a woman really fall in love with that Joker? Also, Harley Quinn without a Joker wouldn't really work. Although he could just be in Arkham.

I like the idea of Harley Quinn, only more nolanised, rather than a recast of the Joker.

To be honest I think they should up the ante with Batman 3 and go with a crime war kind of like Dark Victory with the Freaks v.s. the mob.

Batman is being hunted by the police and Gordon is getting some strain from both the Mayor and Police Media Director Gallagher (DKR) who want the police to look good by capturing not only Batman but, the mob now being run by Sofia Gigante.

With them both on 'different sides' Batman and Gordon are finding it hard to work together or even meeting to discuss cases without being caught and Gordon is conflicted as his men try and find Reese who they believe know Batman's identity.

Black Mask could be the leader of the freak gang taht is fighting against the mob taking territories from Gigante as well as hiring Firefly to take out their operations as well as Wayne businesses to loose Bruce money as they fight for a major deal.

Catwoman could be a love interest for both Black Mask and Wayne but, is just using them. Black Mask- for information on his hits in East End so that she can protect her turf and Bruce-on Black Mask's orders to get info on Wayne's dealings and also just to steal from him.

Penguin also as an arms dealer for both ends and Batman must find and stop Penguin first in order to stop the coming gang war.

The gang war happens panic ensues and Black Mask finds out from his sources Ramirez about Two-Face making it public and clearing Batman but, also causing Gotham to lose hope because their White Knight is a killer and because they feel they're doomed with gnag war. Now they have to turn to Batman-Gotham's knight.

I dont like the idea of having Harley without her origins fully explained and her causing trouble in Gotham alongside The Joker. The only way Harley could work w/o The Joker is with Poision Ivy but even then her relationship with him needs to be seen

Villains are obviously a big part in what goes on in a comic-book film. For The Dark Knight, The Joker was the biggest part of the media, whereas for Batman Begins it was Batman and the fact that he's returning to the big screen. Quite frankly Heath is dead, I can't imagine Nolan recasting (not a biasness, personally I wouldn't mind him being recasted... but realistically I can't see it happening). Two-Face is dead. I mean, those are the two biggest Batman villains. Catwoman would be the 3rd in my opinion, but Nolan has made it apparent (despite the fan-boy's complaints) that there will be no Catwoman right now. The general public needs more than a 8 year break from Catwoman. So how can WB get the media hype back on Batman? I mean, after TDK it'll be hard to excite moviegoers with Batman, after what they had with Joker. Batman's in every film, you need villains to excite the crowd, but you can't forget Batman. And I think the 3rd film is an excellent opportunity to bring Batman back into the media's main attention. What with him being a villain this time around. This is something that's never truly been done before and the mainstream media might be a bit intreged by it. I am. As for other villains, who can top Joker? (I say top, but really "topping" the last preformance is never the attitude you take, but at the same time, it's got to be compelling and brilliant!)

The Riddler: he's the obvious choice as a main villain. While he may not have the same destructive version of chaos that Joker has, he can complicate the story (which is an aspect I love about Nolan's films... complication while interestingness). But obviously Riddler can't take center stage in the rogues list for this film without deviating from the comic-book version. So who else do we work with?

Ra's Al Ghul: The Lazerus' Pits are a part of the storyline that definatly need to be explored. With Liam Neeson returning as Ra's this will bring Nolan's trilogy back full circle: Ra's storyline never really was completed, but yet it was obviously left open (sort of). I also believe that No Man's Land could be a good avenue for this film to take. Using Dent's words: "The night is always darker just before the dawn". Batman's problems as being interpreated as a villain really began at the end of The Dark Knight. That was the dark point in his career. Now the darker just before the dawn part is when Batman is destroyed at Batman's failure to stop Ra's. Batman must now fight a bigger struggle to redeem his name when the cities half destroyed, and it can conceivably be his fault.

Talia Al Ghul: With Ra's second time on film, it's a good chance that Talia will appear. This time as Bruce's love interest (which he needs now, after the death of Rachel). Bruce later learns that she's Ra's daughter and she fights him to stop Batman from stopping Ra's. Ra's is on a helicopter with a nuclear bomb ready to be dropped out of it and onto the city. Talia thinks she's stopped Batman and she boards the helicopter. Batman rises from the rubble and then alerts Commissioner Gordon about Ra's nuclear plan. Gordon evacuates most of the city. Batman grabbles onto the copter and fights Ra's. Talia sees the nuclear bomb and she learns that his plan is to not only destroy Gotham, but also the surrounding cities! Talia knocks Ra's out of the plane and she grabs onto the side of the copter. Ra's falls with the bomb, into the lake and the bomb goes off sending a water mushroom into the sky. Talia hangs on as Batman tries to save her. Talia falls and dies. Batman think's he's won until hundreds of dynamite bombs go off in the city knocking over main skyscrapers in the city (including Wayne Enterprises). The skyscrapers fall and crush the small buildings. Gotham is half destroyed and all the inmates escape. Ra's has learned from his mistakes. He no longer relies on just one destruction plan. Now he has a backup. No Man's Land is the cliffhanger. This would really only work if Nolan decides to return for Batman 4, because it'd be better if he could continue is own storyline.

Scarecrow: He's had cameos in both films, and he needs at least one more cameo in this film. Perhapes he could help in aiding the mob with selling them drug/fear gas to be used on Edward Nashton to get Batman's identity out of him. Batman raids the warehouse and fights Scarecrow. End of his story.

Deadshot: With the GPD and the mob hunting Batman, it's really a no brainer that an assassin like Deadshot would be a possibility to appear early on in the film...

Here's my idea:

Deadshot appears in the beginning of the film to help Sergeant Harvey Bullock (a crooked cop) hunt down Batman. He's captured and placed in prison. He'll have a very small role in the beginning, then have another small role at the very end during the No Man's Land escape-from-jail story.

Edward Nashton, through his storyline (which I'm working for my script) becomes Riddler and is the main villain throughout maybe a little over half the film. And then at the end he'll have a small part during the No Man's Land escape-from-jail scenes.

Scarecrow appears halfway through the movie, then is taken down and put in Arkham. Then at the very end during the No Man's Land breakout scene he escapes, but is soon put back.

Ra's Al Ghul and Talia Al Ghul are introduced as villains at the end of the film. Talia is throughout the entire film, but she's not revealed to be a villain until the very end. Up until that point she's known as "Julia Langley" and is Bruce's lover.

During No Man's Land Deadshot, Riddler and Scarecrow can escape Arkham and terrorize the city. Batman's final battle is rounding up these villains. In a sequence manner (with Batman's theme blaring) he brings down Deadshot and Scarecrow. Then he finds Riddler and has a harder time with him.

During the breakout scene make mention that Joker got away from jail, but managed to get into the crowd that escaped. Perhapes during the scene where Gordon is escorting the civilians over the bridge, have Joker bump into Gordon (we don't see his face... but we see his purple suit, green hair and makeuped face, which he's had time to get on since his breakout). Gordon sees this and is shocked as he sees him walk away (we see a from behind shot). Gordon is about to yell at him, but then several other civilians bump into him. Next time he looks up he can't find Joker. In another shot, if you look really well you can see a CG version of Joker walking through the crowd.

Deadshot/Floyd Lawton
The Riddler/Edward Nashton
Scarecrow/Jonathan Crane
Ra's Al Ghul
Julia Langley/Talia Al Ghul

That's my take on Batman 3.

Yeah, but the police are already going to be after Batman, to capture him, not to kill him, anyways.. hence, the end of Batman 3... They are going to hunt him.

Some bullet points and ideas

  • The movie starts with a look into Bruce Wayne's past when he travelled to Europe and studied with "The Flying Graysons" (at the time, an unmarried duo). During this time they teach him some basic arcobatics and fighting skills, when it is revealed the wife is pregnant she asks Bruce to be the Godfather of her child, Richard. Bruce departs, however, fearing he is getting too close with these people and heads to Tibet/China.
  • Throughout the first and second act, in present day, Bruce is being pursued by police and a "fake anti-Batman" Azrael, who is truly an insane ex-Green Berret named Jean-Paul Valley. Jean Paul is a sniper, who follows the police and Batman around, hoping to make Batman pay for the murders of the three police officers.
  • Over in Arkham, Two-Face and Joker share cells next to eachother, Harvey's pressence is kept secret from both the outside world and the rest of Arkham. They are watched over by a doctor named Harleen Quinzel.
  • The remainder of the mob is made up mainly of low-level enforcers, one being Anthony Zucco, who attempts an insurance scam with a travelling circus. In his attempts to sabotage, the flying Grayson's, save their son Richard, are killed. Bruce takes in Dick (16) as an act of kindness to the Graysons.
  • Two-Face escapes from Arkham following a massive earthquake ("No Man's Land"), and kills the Mayor during a series of riots over power outages and the widespread destruction of the quake.
  • Amidst Two-Face's return a series of murders is taking place, seemingly caused by the Joker, who is still in his cell in Arkham (think "Summer of Sam")
  • Two-Face eventually reappears during a riot, revealing the lies that Gordon has told the public about the Batman. Batman is redeemed, however Gordon is forced to forfeit his job to Crispus Allen, who hates Batman almost as much as Loeb did.
  • Azrael, feeling betrayed, turns his sights on Gordon, who he blames for the murders by association.
  • Batman investigates the new "Joker" murders, but cannot find enough proof to pin them on the Joker, who is still in his cell with no way out.
  • Eventually Dick escapes Wayne Manor, and hunts down Zucco. Batman finds him and convinces him not to kill Zucco. Dick tries to use Zucco's gun to kill him, but can't go through with it; he's too moral. He tells Dick who he really is. Fearing Dick's safety he hands him over to Lucius Fox in Wayne Tower so Dick won't become a target for his enemies.
  • Azrael eventually finds and targets Gordon's family, hoping to enact final revenge. Batman comes to stop him, and does, but in the crossfire Gordon is injured (in the shoulder) and Ramerez is killed.
  • Crispus Allen blames Batman for Ramerez's death. Two-Face, who has now taken control of some remaining Mafia members, eventually captures Crispus Allen. Two-Face says he will do away with Batman in return for legal protection. Crispus Allen agrees.
  • Batman eventually manages to track down the murderer, and it turns out to be Harleen Quinzel, the doctor at Arkham. Joker had been chipping away at her psyche, and now she fulfills his wishes from the inside. She also reveals that she was responsible for breaking out Harvey Dent, thus causing Gordon's fall from grace.
  • Batman contemplates killing the Joker, and even pockets a gun, going to Arkham to do it. However once he gets there he again realizes he can't. At that time Two-Face, knowing all about Harley Quin, ambushes Batman, and locks him in his old cell. Two-face allows Joker the pleasure of psychoanalyzing Batman.
  • Alfred realizes that Batman is missing, and contacts Lucius. Lucius, unfortunately, is unable to track him, since the widespread blackout is still ongoing. Dick convinces him to let him go, so Lucius outfits with several tech items, and a motorcycle helmut to hide his identity. Dick immediately goes and hunts down Gordon, who he knows communicates with Batman. Gordon knows nothing, but tells Dick about a series of Joker style murders he was aiding Batman on before he was forced to resign. Dick is pointed in the direction of Arkham.
  • Dick is able to find Batman in Arkham, and together, they defeat the Joker (who doesn't like guns, so don't complain about Dick's possibility of being shot).
  • Batman then goes to hunt down Two-face, alone. Crispus Allen also, feeling guilty for giving the reigns of Gotham to a madmanm also tracks him down. The two end up their, unknowingly, together. Batman defeats Two-Face, but not before Two-face mortally wounds Allen.
  • Before he dies, Crispus Allen exonerates Gordon by coping to his deal with Two-Face, and claiming that he set Gordon up as a power bid. Two-Face cannot credibly refute his claims, so Gordon is placed back as commishioner. Batman begins seriously training Dick, who he hopes can replace him one day when he retires.

I'd like to see the mob return to power, maybe trying to get Rupert Thorne in the Crime Boss. Black Mask would be awsome as well I'm prety sure he is african american that would take over Gambols crew. Penguin I could see as a crime figure too he could be the same just with a big nose chubby guy and "Penguin" would be is alias. Just putting some ideas I'd like to see for a 3rd Film.

As a courtesy to other readers, I don't quote long posts - that gets ridiculous when people are scrolling.

I like most of your ideas and think you have some of the most promising story ideas out of those I've seen, but I don't buy the whole "Batman getting locked in Arkham" part - something about it just seems trite. Also, does Harley fight at all, or is she just a psycho killer that stands no chance against Bats?

Here's my attempt:

Sometime after the events of "The Dark Knight," a full-fledged manhunt for Batman by the police is in progress. A new mayor has defeated the incumbent on a platform promising to capture the Batman, calling him the cause of the city's continuing, and escalating crime problem.

A gang war has broken out between the remants of the traditional mob, led by Boss Tony Zucco, and the "freaks" led by a man known on the streets as "Black Mask." Both sides are supplied with weapons by Oswald Cobblepot, a known international arms trafficker. The police focus most of their efforts on capturing Batman, giving free reign to the crime organizations.

Black Mask is Roman Sionis, a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne who has inherited the company once owned by his now deceased parents. Under his leadership, the company has struggled, and Bruce offers to purchase it for far more than it is worth as a favor to his friend. Sionis is outraged, and devotes himself to putting Wayne Enterprises out of business. Bruce is suspicious of his friend's actions, as well as the company's financial resources. His investigation ultimately leads him to the startling fact that Sionis murdered his parents, and has become Black Mask to fund his company with illegitimate money.

Attracting the attention of the media is a female thief, responsible for several high-profile thefts in Gotham. She wears a suit similar to that of Batman, and is referred to as "Catwoman" by the tabloids. She is Selina Kyle, who poses as a spoiled, old-money socialite. She attracts the attention of Bruce Wayne, but initially rejects him as nothing but a superficial playboy. Later, when he assists her in fending off the unwanted advances of Roman Sionis, she comes to see that there may be more to Bruce that she initially thought. She proceeds to steal from Sionis, who puts a price on her head. Catwoman is attracted to Batman, but he rebuffs her as selfish and potentially dangerous.

Unable to find the Batman, the Mayor orders progressively more drastic measures to bring him in, resulting in mass arrests and restrictions of basic civil liberties. When Gordon refuses to go along with such draconian measures, he is removed from his position. Evidence is uncovered that links Bruce Wayne to Batman, resulting in Bruce being forced to flee and go underground, with Alfred and Lucius being arrested. The Mayor orders Gordon arrested and tortured, due to his belief that Gordon is withholding information about Batman. Gordon refuses to break, and is ultimately unexpectedly freed by Detective Ramirez, whose connections to the mafia were never revealed. Along with a small band of loyal police, Gordon confronts the Mayor in a tense showdown, demanding he be taken into custody for crimes relating to his zealous pursuit of Batman. He orders snipers on the scene to fire on Gordon, but they refuse. Ultimately, the acting commissioner takes the Mayor into custody and relinquishes his/her post to Gordon.

In the finale, Black Mask takes hostage several of the most prominent members of the city. He broadcasts a sham "trial" over the internet, forcing them to admit their deceit and falseness to the city. Batman is forced to turn to Catwoman for help in liberating the hostages. When he successfully manages, Black Mask is forced to flee to a rooftop. Catwoman does not hesitate to shoot Black Mask in the head, killing him. She informs Batman that there is no other way to stop Black Mask from coming after her, and that this shows why they can never be together: She is not a hero, and he is. The shooting is witnessed by several of the hostages, preventing Batman from being implicated.

With the resolution of the conflicts, the Mayor is forced to resign and is tried and convicted. Gordon returns as Commissioner, and the hunt for Batman is discontinued. Meeting Batman on the rooftop, Gordon is contented that justice has won. Batman disagrees, as Cobblepot has seized control of the city following the death of Black Mask and the crippling of Zucco's organization, as was his plan all along. There is still work to be done, and there always will be. Gordon relights the Bat Signal for the first time, and him and Batman hear a sound ringing throughout the city. It seems to be a siren, or screaming. Then Gordon realizes: For the first time in his memory, the people of Gotham are cheering. Batman dives off the building and into the night, ready for to battle injustice and evil wherever it may lurk. Roll credits.

I'm not a big fan of superman, but if anyones seen the episode of Superman TAS, there is an episode where Bane, Riddler and Hatter team up. It could work well on the screen with Bane being the muscle, Riddler the brains, (even tho Bane is pretty smart too) and Hatter controlling ppl. The bat would definately have his hands full.

I hate that you guys write Selina as a cold hearted snake who only wants Bruce's money...

The Riddler should be someone who stumbles across Batman's sonar technology and puts it back online, abusing it to spy on the citizens of Gotham, discover their darkest secrets and possibly blackmailing them. He'd probably be a secondary villain though.

I would love to see them finsh this trilogy and then make another trilogy with the Nightwing and Batgirl arch with flashbacks about how they got to where they are now with the final movie being a Batman Beyond flick.

Maybe, yeah, a little. Although I've always loved Batman stories that blur the lines between him and the lunatics he locks up.
Also, does Harley fight at all, or is she just a psycho killer that stands no chance against Bats?
I'd say she "fights" Batman in the same sense that Scarecrow and Joker have. No, Joker and Scarecrow obviously are not Ra's Al Ghul, but they're more dangerous than "random thug#1". She is, more or less, a serial killer. So I'd say expect knives and guns.

Here's what I'd like to see:

OSWALD COBBLEPLOT is a Bruce Wayne type. Billionaire. Owns his own company (Penguin Pharmaceuticals or some such nonsense). Short and pudgy (philip seymour hoffman) but incredibly charismatic and a big competitor of Wayne Enterprises. He also uses the company as cover for ARMS DEALING, and has basically sold weapons to every criminal element in Gotham.

GOTHAM CITY streets are becoming a warzone, with criminal gangs outfitted with machines guns and bazookas, children are even being gunned down on their way to school.

The Batman? Isn't around as much because the police are constantly hunting him. In fact, CITIZENS begin to start calling for the BATMAN, putting them at odds with the police. There are CITIZEN PROTESTS in SUPPORT of BATMAN, which end up with a riot against over-zealous cops who are friends of the dead cops from TDK, and Gordon has to wonder if he should go to Batman for help even with his own dept chasing Batman.

When LUCIUS FOX refuses to sell Wayne Enterprises to Penguin Company, Oswald hires a brilliant hacker-digital-anarchist type to try to infiltrate Wayne Enterprises and find something to use... while in there, this hacker, who has a flair for the dramatic, likes leaving little riddles as calling cards when he breaks in somewhere, gets access to EVERYTHING, and finds a connection between Wayne Enterprises and BATMAN (by seeing the schematics that the accountant in TDK saw, as well as other equipment).

Gordon finally has enough when a schoolbus of kids is blown up, and he calls off the manhunt and calls in Batman to help. This results in his own department hating him and he gets FIRED! But Batman is out there helping.

Oswald thinks Wayne Enterprises is "funding" the Batman. He uses the schematics his hacker found to create special weapons designed to infiltrate the Batmobile, Bat-armor, and everything else and starts selling THAT STUFF, making a ton of money because gangs want stuff that can stop the Batman.

Meanwhile, this hacker guy, who leaves riddles on the sites and systems he infiltrates, has a ? as his calling card, is more of an anarchist, and while hacking into Wayne Enterprises, finds the remnants of the SONAR MACHINE from TDK. Meanwhile, Penguin, hoping to eliminate any evidence of what he's been doing, orders his thugs to gun down "? Hacker guy".

"? Hacker Guy" barely survives, and decides to go after everyone with a vengeance. He uses the SONAR MACHINE to learn secrets, sell locations of people, spy on people and blackmail, and then hacks into all of Gotham's security systems, shutting EVERYTHING DOWN and holding the city hostage for billions.

Gotham is plunged into a no-computer dark age (imagine what happened in Die Hard 4, except, it doesn't suck like that movie did). Like at the end of the Dark knight Returns, you remember, when Batman had to restore order? Batman goes to take down the hacker (who as you all must have guessed is basically The Riddler re-imagined), however, at the last second, Penguin's Thugs gun down the Riddler, making the situation semi-permanent.

This is the big climax, the city goes nuts, criminals with horrible weapons, cops trying to keep order, mob rule, kids in the crossfire, think "No Man's Land" crossed with the "nuclear winter Gotham" of "The Dark Knight Returns", Cobbleplot declares him and his companies the owners of Gotham and uses gangs outfitted with his advanced weaponry as his army.
Batman has to swoop into the city and restore order. He sweeps through, taking down armies of villains, eluding cops, saving citizens, enlishing the Bat-vigilantes to follow his way and learn how to be real heroes, fighting his way all the way up to Cobbleplot, and taking him down.

By saving the city during his darkest hour, he regains the trust of the city. Cops still want him, but the people believe in him. Batman, Gotham's true Protector!

  • The movie starts with police cars and helicopters chasing after Batman on the Batpod. Gordon is in one of them ordering barricades to stop Batman's escape. The helicopter chases Batman shining a light on him as he cuts through the alleyways avoiding the streets as he has hacked into the police communications so he knows what they're planning. He escapes by causing an explosion that blinds helicopter for a bit.
  • Gordon and Ramirez argue in his office about why they're chasing Batman Ramirez knowing the truth but, not giving much away because she might incriminate herself.
  • Meanwhille, MCU is tracking Reese since he has left Gotham after Joker nearly killing him. They go to see Fox who declares that the shock of it all caused Reese to go work in another company which he didn't say.
  • Bruce is finding it harder and harder to fight crime now that he is being hunted and is often stumbling into police traps using real criminals to trick him.
  • The Mayor is screaming for an arrest and so is Police Media Director Gallagher who feels Gordon isn't doing his job and plans to investigate.
  • A new villain has hit Gotham taking over mob business as well as burning them. People call him Black Mask, he works in the shadows and Gordon and the Mayor are adamant to stop him feeling he might start a gang war.
  • Black Mask has hired firefly to burn down Wayne Industries buildings as well as Mob business one to start a gang war and two because he lost his company to Wayne Industries while Bruce was away.
  • Sofia Gigante has taken over the Falcone family and starts fighting Black Masks men when ever she gets the chance... but she doesn't know where he is.
  • Batman and Gordon meet in secret were they discuss where the mob is getting their weapons. With Gordon limited to what he can give him without causing suspicion Batman must go undercover as Matches Malone.
  • Fidning the Penguin who is selling weapons to both sides Batman brings him down and takes him to Gordon... this causes suspicion in Gordon's office as they feel he maybe still working with the Batman.
  • The Mayor asks Harvey Bullock to spy on Gordon and see what he's up to.
  • Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne as well as having an uneasy relationship with Roman Sionis is also in abit of a rivalry for Sionis' girl, Selina Kyle who unknown to Bruce, has been employed by Sionis to spy on Bruce, but unknown to Sionis she is spying oin him as well to see what he's doing to the Upper East Side of Gotham so that she can protect it.
  • Batman meets Catwoman as she tries to steal from Sionis and both have to flee as Sionis' men come out and start shooting Batman recognising them as Black Masks men.
  • After his cover blown Black Mask goes underground since his obsessed with masks he goes looking for Reese finding him in Metropolis were he tortures him into giving Batman identity.
  • Batman find Reese dead brutally and worries if he gave his secret away as well as feeling guilty taht this happened to him. Metropolis police burst through the door seeing Batman there placing him as the killer.
  • Wanting to end the war, Black Mask stages a meeting between all Gotham gangs at the Gotham Knights Football Stadium werre he kills most of the mob and leads the freaks into Gotham to take over the rest of the mob.
  • Black Mask captures Ramirez and kidnaps a Tv crew and takes them to Gotham Clock Tower to broadcast Rameriz' confession showing the masks Batman and Gordon have worn to mask Harvey's betrayal.
  • People start rioting outside City Hall outraged. Gordon holds a press conference explaining but the people won't listen.
  • With the gang war, the confession from Ramirez they don't wnat to know and los hope in the system.
  • Batman gets information from Catwoman on Sionis' plans and teams up with her to protect the Upper East Side but, after taht he's on his own.
  • Batman takes out most of the mob and Sionis' men in the East Side and declares to the people taht they must fight for their city to protect their city leaving them to decide... as well as Catwoman.
  • Batman drives to downtown Gotham were he knows Black Mask is going to have his men attack first knowing taht Gigante's penthouse is there. He hacks into all radio transmits, cop radios, radios, asking people for help the same as he did with the East End.
  • Batman arrives in downtown with hundreds of Black Masks men. A battle ensues until Gordon and his men arrive and help him as well as people from the Upper East side led by Catwoman.
  • They manage to subdue the freaks only for fire fly to cause an explosion in the sewer line causing fire to shooto ut of the man holes. People flee. Batman dives in and faces firefly asking him were Black Mask is.
  • Catwoman overhears and follows Batman. Batman crashes throw the clock tower to find Ramirez dead as well as the Camera man. He fight Black Mask who reveals that Reese didn't reveal anything gaoding Batman, making him think its his fault. Batman gets angry and starts beating Black Mask. He stops himself instead bringing him in. Black Mask grabs a gun shooting Batman.
  • Catwoman arrives and attacks Black Mask knocking him off the building out of revenge for killing her sister with Batman unable to stop her.
  • She escapes and Batman wakes up to find Gordon who has found him and taken him to Leslie Thompkins Clinic to be patched up.
  • Gotham now looks to Batman as their hero and the Mayor has stopped the warrant on his arrest realising 'he's too big'.

I think it will be interesting to see Batman use the Matches Malone identity in the third film IMO.

There's a faceless serial killer on the loose in Gotham city, praying on the city's high society and mob bosses alike. The media and Police calls him the "Riddler" because of the strange encrypted messages he leaves behind with each fresh victim, that sound like riddles but are actually clues on who he will kidnap and murder next and where he will leave the body. The Police are baffled, and seriously undermanned since their energies are being spent in a city wide manhunt in the search for Batman who is now a murder suspect. Meanwhile, Bat's is on the case, having to rely fully on his detective skills in a desperate race against time since the cops could show up at any minuet. He also has to be on guard as Bruce Wayne, for a foreign shareholder is seriously attempting a hostile takeover of his company stock, the mysterious tycoon being a woman only known as Talia...
And what does his newest love interest Selina Kyle know about all the cat-burglary that has been going on lately....
Thing start really to heat up when the latest Riddler clue is posted at the newly rebuild Wayne manor, but issued to Batman.

Keyword: Se7en -esque
A Riddler casting idea: Would be deliciously ironic to see the kid who played the escaped Arkham asylum schizophrenic/Joker Henchman that Harvey "threatened" to shoot early in TDK casted in the role.

The Riddler is not a killer.

The Riddler is not a killer.

Two-Face is a mob boss in the comic, yet I felt that the fall of Harvey Dent and his tragic death was fitting for the Nolan-Verse, where the Joker wears makeup and doesn't use Joker venom and where Ra's al Ghul was a mortal caucasian and Bruce's trainer. My point being that modifications, especial in the Nolan-Verse, need not be such a bad thing. But of course, the riddler could also be used to play Gotham's police, mob and power players against each other by spreading "clues" and misinformation, never getting his hands dirty but being responsible for countless deaths and misfortune in his ultimate sport of ****ing with Bat's. Just don't let him wear a green dress and a top-hat with a question mark on it or lift anything from TAS or most of the comics he's been in.
I like the Riddler, but more for his potential, like they displayed briefly (and then ****ed up) in Hush. He's usually portrayed just too over the top campy or pathetically incompetent, which is a shame...

I think it would be better if Riddler didn't get his hands dirty but has his henchmen kill for him. He'd be more a villain in teh shadows.
