The Dark Knight Rises Batman Beyond Movie

That's true, if it was ever done people wouldn't remember it. Well maybe they could do a the theme from the animated series and have Terry do the voice over explaing what happened over the years. Could work..Could not...

I would love for them to do a comic book series of it showing after epilogue cos I always wondered what Terry did with his life I mean when we saw him in Batman Beyond he was failing so I wonder if he managed to get some stability and get a good career.

This is an ideal cast for a "Batman Beyond" movie:

Terry McGinnis/Batman- Matt Long

Dana Tan-Camille Belle

Bruce Wayne- Clint Eastwood

Melanie Walker/Ten- Sarah Carter

yeah good cast espiecally Carrie Fisher. lol. she suits Gordon for some reason.

I can totally see Eastwood as Bruce, that'd be awesome. I dunno about Terry McGinnis though, not sure why, just seems wrong.

Fisher as Babs is a great choice. Ive thought about Susan Surandon for Babs myself

i just hope if they ever do make a batman beyond flick that they have babs in a wheelchair or talk about her having reconstructive spine surgery or something....just alittle nod to her time as oracle.

Fixed.

I can't post his pic because I can only use 7 images.

I have posted this in another thread about this, somewhere, but anyway

Cast:
Will Friedle as Terry McGinnis/Batman
(just make the movie take place after high school.)
Will_Friedle.jpg

Kevin Conroy could play an older Bruce Wayne (just use makeup)
kevin_conroy.jpg

Teri Garr as Mrs. Mary McGinnis (Terry's Mom)
teri_garr.jpg

Stockard Channing could play Commissioner Barbara Gordon
janning.jpg

even Sherman Howard could play Derek Powers, just make his hair look like Powers'

I think these characters could be played by the actors who played them in the cartoon. I don't think these guys would need to be changed.

I think these actors could pull off the movie.

Fixed (again). This time, I nailed the JGL pic.

Just that it would be best if it was made 5 years from now or whenever theyre done with the Nolan franchise because normal people (no knowledge of Batman) would get confused and not understand.

Personally, I would rather see Frank Miller direct The Dark Knight Returns than a Batman Beyond movie, but a Batman Beyond movie definitely has potential. I don't think either of these movies would happen though, mostly because DC would probably have another movie about a more traditional Batman to rake in more money from the general audience, rather than DKR or BB, either if which would probably appeal primarily more to the fanboys. Although I think if given the chance, either of these projects have the potential to be great movies and widely received by not just fanboys, but the general movie going populace as well.

in all honesty, there's a better chance of WB using these PG-13 animated movies they're doing to give Beyond a "final farewell"-as opposed to the half assed -yet still awesome- "Epilogue" we got.

What was bad about Epilogue?
Timm started with Batman so he ended with Batman, tying everything together. I thought it was good for a half hour show.

It also has no real reason to be seen as having potential anymore, by the studios, since the TV show was cancelled so long ago. Unless they perhaps brought back the show or something.
I remember while the show was on, or almost ending, there was talks about WB doing a live action movie staring Freddie Prince Jr. as Terry. So I am sort of glad that they didn't.

What about the potential of a animated movie, perhaps a direct to DVD again or maybe this time a theater film?

I would love to see a Batman Beyond movie! I hope they consider doing that after the third Nolan film.

isn't dana tan asian?

and as much as i'd like to see a batman beyond movie, people won't even agree to bring robin into the movies. what makes people think batman beyond is a possibility for a future movie? i'd honestly like to see a good portrayal of robin(tim drake) and nightwing first.

yes, dana is asian

i think a batman beyond movie would be awesome if done right and if advertised right it could be very successful

If Iron man can work, Batman Beyond can definately be done.
My vision of Batman Beyond isn't really the cyber punk futuristic metropolis Timm and Co have created. Instead, it's more of what we have today in the present. If you think about it, 20 years from now, things won't be much different other than handheld tech, car designs, computers, etc. Our cities will most likely look the same.

i hope so, i saw some pretty cool german cars were the doors slide under the car, it was tight

I'm not all that interested in seeing a live-action Batman Beyond movie. I just don't think it would translate that well to the big screen.

i still think that a Beyond flick directed by Alex Proyas done in a cyberpunk dystopia style of film would really work well.

dont play it as a superhero movie. play it as a cyberpunk picture..just that the main character is frikkin' Batman.

I'm down. But I loved The Killing Joke storyline, just cripple Batgirl please, that always bugged me that they didn't include that in the show. Everything else is perfect. But I really should read The Dark Knight Returns before I sink my entire vote in. Other than that fault of mine, I think Batman Beyond has a lot of potential.

ps. Loved how the gave Batman Beyond a proper ending in Justice League Unlimited. It was perfect!
