Battlefield 3 - Part 1

They made the helis way easier to handle, still tough at times, but easier than the last game. I think it was because the control scheme was wack coupled with how sensitive the chopper was to the slightest movements on ur part. Now I can keep us in the air, make some kills, and evade enemy fire...like I am supposed to.

Any PC players here? Feel free to add me in Battlelog if so.

Yeah, but I thought that was for people who play on the XBOX only?

EDIT: I just logged into Battlelog and saw that it is in fact for players that have XBOX.

You can still friend all the members, since everyone there is a Hype member (Except 'Cappwood')

Btw, for people who were wishing there was some sort of training mode for the vehicles, the second co-op level is great for just helicopter practice.

Also, don't let that crappy first co-op level deter you, there are actually some pretty fun ones later on, some awesome stealth ones (with a cheeky MGS reference) and the weapons you unlock are totally worth it.

Good to know. I thought the 2nd mission would be like the jet mission in the campaign.

Kudos to you. The most I've been able to to in a jet is figure out how to fly in circles to avoid missiles. I don't have a single jet kill yet hahaha. It's so damn hard!

I've leveled up jets mostly through disabling and destroying vehicles. :o

This morning I was matched with this dude who was crazy good at piloting the Viper helicopter, leveled that up twice in one match and got my air warfare ribbon. :awesome: Hahah, to avoid lock-ons the dude would fly so low to the ground and move so fast I thought we would crash.

There are some incredible pilots out there, that's for sure. My single crowning helicopter moment was when I figured out how to keep the damn thing level, so I was flying in a circle low by the enemy capture point while my gunners picked people off with the miniguns. It's definitely a cool feeling when that stuff happens.

But jets I still can't figure it out. It shouldn't be hard for DICE to release a stand-alone offline trainer. It doesn't even need "hints," just an offline map with flying vehicles so you can practice.

Yea iv been screaming at the top of my lungs for a flight trainer that you are forced to complete before using a jet/helo online.

I just watched youtube videos to learn how to fly a helo in BC2 and that translated over to BF3. I learned to fly the planes in BF1943 and they're pretty much the same here.

Does anyone thing the MCOM stations are too quick to explode? It doesn't seem like the defending team has a chance to disarm them. Im pretty sure its shorter than what it was in BC2.

I know i dont post often, i lurk more than anything, but id be down to join your group for some crazy BF3 action on Xbox. I'm a hell of a support gunner and work better as a team player than lone wolf...im even currently using the M60 LMG and the M1911 Handgun on my support class (first one to get the reference wins a cookie)

Hey guys, if you need someone who only uses C4, or who runs shotguns with the recon glass for the lols, then look to the skies for my crashing jet. I'll be trolling you all. Also, I take helicopters and crash them, frequently.

Damn Battlelog is cool. We need to get more Hypesters on it though!

Just messaged you Spider-Vader through my computer on live (since I won't be on my 360 all week).

I didn't see the platoon online though.

I sent a request to join. How many ppl do we have so far?

Bwahahahaha I might have to troll in a similar fashion some time.

Of course bro, you're a hypster!

That map is such a nightmare on RUSH. The one MCOM station is a complete killbox haha.

Also, I joined the Avengers. Can't wait to get some games in.

ok so...how do i join this shindig? i made an origin profile or w/e but its not letting me sync it with my gamertag.

had to trade out the bipod on my lmg88 when I finally got the foregrip. That bipod is more trouble than it's worth. Almost every time I used it on the ground something happens where I start to fire, get up automatically, and automatically re-release my bipod. So, for any enemy that thought they were toast now had a 3 second window to mow me down while me and my ******ed bipod were fighting with each other. I tried troubleshooting it, like it was my fault, so I didn't operate any of the other buttons, didn't click in the sticks, only used the left and right trigger, and it still did it to me. Bye bye bipod, and hello foregrip!

Haha damn man, thats odd.

I thought if you changed your setting under server browser, you could use quick match to find hardcore game modes? Every time i use quick match it throws me into a standard game.

I frickin' love the bipod. I'm a total beast with it, especially with the M249. It's great for defending capture points or MCOM stations, though it's a little less useful on some maps (Firestorm comes to mind). On those long-range style maps I just use the foregrip.

Yesterday I put the nightvision scope on my M249 with a bipod on Operation Metro and I was annihilating fools. They would keep trying to sneak up on me but my nightvision made their sneak attempts useless. It was great.

I bet your team won by at least 150 tickets on Op Metro didn't they? That map is terrible.

Sent a request to join the "Avengers" platoon. My battlelog name is "MJVASS".
