My father is a doctor. This one time there was a massive accident at the highway and he and the rest of the doctors had to stay in the hospital through the night to help all the people that were injured. He was operating through the whole night. When stuff like that happens, we need to become supermen ourselves.

In this case, there was an invasion and a big part of the city was levelled. Now, we're not talking about the average joe, we are talking about Superman. I expect him to help those in need and make out with Lois later. This isnt being a robot 24/7 365 days a year, unless alien invasions happen that often, which they dont. So this one time, he could be.... Superman for a while.

Some just act like the kiss was like 1 hour. If you didn't notice that has a reason that both of them thought they were never see each again, almost the world was gonna be destroyed, the tension, the feelings both have and all that happened was the cause of that, it had a purpose. I guess you don't know how PEOPLE react to when a situation like this happened and I thank that they made Superman feeling (a relatable thing) and all of that wasn't perfect. It'll be consequences in that, not everything perfect, nothing bad happens stuff.

I have no problem with him expressing his emotions, but Cavil mostly had a very dumbfounded look on his face and it's not like he grabbed Lois holding her tight, telling her how he was afraid he'd never see her again. In other words there was no passion, or fear there. They just met and made out.

And if you noticed here it was a DANGEROUS AND POWERFUL THREAT not that he has the time to choose what to do that save people all the movie and stopping Zod. Not to mention that Superman couldn't do anything more than he did cause you know he was stopping the WE that was the cause for the destruction and the damage that was done. Not to mention that we can see WE casualties and Superman dealing with them in this movie connecting both movies.

I'm talking after he defeated the WE. I think that he should have searched the rubble for survivors, or even ask the survivors that were with Lois "Hey, are you guys alright? Is anyone of you bleeding profusely or whatever?"

But I'm serious which movie did you see?

The one panned by most critics. But you're better than them and me, so you have to use facepalms, LMAOs and eyerolls after every sentence.

If you wanted to see that omnipresent almost robotic hero that in this time would not fell, The Donner movies are the way to go. Cause neither in the comics he's like that. Some just think the movies are the source and is FALSE!!!

I dont want him to be infallible, i want him to be a normal person. Any normal person with his powers would try to help after such destruction.

What are your thoughts on the muscle suit? I know you prefer a more lithe, agile frame for Batman like Neal Adams portrays him.

Thanks. Overall, I think the suit is such a leap forward that I am reluctant to criticize it. As for its bulk, however; I think that is partly an effect of the composition of the photograph. It's hard to make a 6' 4" man look so hefty.

I was trying to figure out why the people who disliked it can't let it go nearly a year later and I've come to the conclusion that it's a mixture of extreme disappointment because they were looking foward to the movie a lot and the fact that despite them going on about how big of a bomb it was Snyder is doing another one (with Batman). If you built up in your head that everyone hated the film and it bombed Snyder and Goyer coming back must be a real mind****.

Of course the argument is they are bringing in Batman because it bombed so hard but you'd think WB wouldn't bring back Snyder if it failed so hard. WB are obviously taking the criticisms seriously because they allowed an Oscar winning screenwriter a crack at the script. Not Orci and Kurtzman but a real screenwriter.

I don't know, I care that people were disappointed and I do think it's a smart idea to bring on another screenwriter and I hope they dig SvB more. Sucks for the people who can't get over it, then again I'm probably still not over SR so who am I to judge?

Man of Steel was and is my ideal Superman film. I am beyond excited about the DC film universe stemming from it, and love the direction that they are going in. Affleck looks unbelievable in the Bat suit, and I cannot wait to see more.

Man of Steel was and is my ideal Superman film. I am beyond excited about the DC film universe stemming from it, and love the direction that they are going in. Affleck looks unbelievable in the Bat suit, and I cannot wait to see more.

It's the only Superman film I've liked. Sure I have big issues with it but I'd still take it over all the other Superman films. That's just me though, no problem with people who disagree with me provided they don't make things up like people who dislike the film often do.

As for Affleck, I hope he kills it as Batman. I'm rooting for him.

You know, you are absolutely right. Maybe it's because I'm turning 28 this year, but my general stance of hardline cynicism has tended to cool down over the years. I'm just still in awe of how lucky I am being a genre film fan in this day and age, there really isn't that many comic book films that i don't enjoy. I'm far more critical of films that don't entice and distract me with explosions and robots, monsters and superheroes, that's when i tend to put my real critic hat on.
