BvS Ben Affleck IS Batman - Part 25

He looked great in BB. In TDK/R, he looked...I dunno, not exactly scrawny, but not exactly big and muscular. I guess you could say he looked sickly in comparison to his BB physique.

But seeing Affleck as Bruce and Batman, I don't even think there's a contest as to who the best looking Wayne and Batman are. It's not even close in my eyes. Affleck straight up looks the part.
It's hard for anyone to beat this to be honest.

Does anyone get tired of seeing this? Because I know I sure as hell don't. The feels I get every time I see this are the same as I when I saw it initially.

Not at all. Michael Wilkinson deserves a medal right this second.

The weird thing is, he was around 189lbs (give or take) for both Batman Begins and TDK. He was actually heavier (198lbs) for TDKR, yet looked scrawnier. I wonder if that scrawny look was purposefully done by Nolan using makeup (to make his face look gaunt) and camera angles, all to portray a Bruce Wayne who's a bit run down after living as a recluse for so many years.

No. It's a great image. I'm glad to finally see some stubble on Batman too. I want him grizzly and moody, like he often is in the comics.

Absolutely.

Perfection is what it is.

Those weights aren't accurate man. No way in heck.

He was definitely in the 190's -200's (mainly 200) for Begins and I can easily tell that he's somewhere around 175 if that in TDK and in TDKR in the light 180's.

But there's no chance he was heavier in TDK and TDKR than he was Begins. There's pictures out there that have popularized those numbers but I can confidently tell you they're way off.

Stubble Batman is the best Batman.

I dunno, but I really didn't like the way he looked in TDK/R. TDKR especially, with his gross Master Splinter beard.

Absolutely not. Especially the first pic that was released. :hrt:

I've read the same figures from a few different sources online. They do seem off but hard to know.

Yeah it wasn't a great look for him, but it was convincing in terms of someone who hasn't really ventured outdoors for a long time.

Just remember... Wilkinson is going to handle all the League's costumes. Think about that, the guy that has already given us a Live action Superman and Batman costume for the ages will also handle the League.

Now the question is are we prepared for the disappointment if Ben's turn as Batman reflects the same downward spiral as Bale's did in the sequels. :o

I'm super ****ing excited about that to be honest.

I've got that Lady Gaga song "Do What You Want With My Body" playing in my head right now for some reason.

I love it but im getting a little sick of seeing it posted every time there's a thread. I want some new Batman pics. I dont care how godly a pic or video or song is...if i hear or see it too much, i become numb to it and want something else.

Sure. But that was the intention. They didn't approach it like "OK we have a new Nolan Bat movie, so every time we do a sequel...Bale...you have to get into supreme Batman shape". It was for the story and the suit, that's why Bale was asked to tone it down on the weights for TDK. So he can fit into the suit yes, but also im pretty positive it was to show that he hasn't been hitting the gym between Begins and Knight. He's just been tiring himself out as the Batman 24/7. He's not gonna look as huge.

It would make sense. But I believe that Flash's and Green Lantern's suit might be designed by someone else if they don't show up in BvS or JL. I hope not, though.

Of course Flash is going to show up in JL and I wouldn't be surprised if he had a cameo in BvS.

I'm of the same mind, but still, until we get official confirmation on the matter, I'll hold it in the shade of doubt.

Ive often believed that its a common myth that Bale lost weight after Begins. The truth is that he just regained those trademark glasscutter cheekbones that were largely missing in BB.

Yeah, from losing weight in the face.
