BvS Ben Affleck IS Batman - - Part 26

Hey do you guys remember a few months ago when this thread was all about how old Affleck was and he'd never be able to get into decent shape for this role?

And then when he was in top shape, people said he was still fat? Good times.

Here's what happened when some of the naysayers tried to own up to being wrong:

Arms, I'll gladly admit to being wrong. I'm genuinely shocked that he was able to keep gaining after the film had started production. When Ben was still looking like Gone Girl Ben Affleck this spring, I didn't think he was going to be able to turn it around given his age and the demands of shooting. In interviews about training Cavill or the 300 guys, even Mark Twight has mentioned that it is a challenge to keep muscle on actors during full-time shooting, let alone get them to keep gaining during that period. His transformation is very impressive as a result. Both putting on muscle and dropping bodyfat during shooting is really, really hard.

I was skeptical as well, although I was really rooting for him. I'm absolutely thrilled and surprised he was able to make such a dramatic change. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was using gear, but that's no knock on him. The fact that he could even be suspected of being on the roids is a testament to how impressive he looks.
