I LOVE how big Fleck has gotten, but i still think Bale was bigger by means of pure muscle mass in BB. However, we still haven't seen Fleck in a "movie" training sequence so i will probably be proven wrong.

I have to agree that muscle mass-wise, Bale seemed bigger in BB, especially in that particular scene. However, BB didn't show that size off with the design of the suit. That's one point that BvS really drives home for me - Batman is a big dude and it shows! I just think that with Ben's height and overall frame, he's definitely going to appear larger on screen.

Bale was pretty massive in Begins. But the day we see Batfleck on the big screen will be glorious.

Like others have said, Bale is a good 3-4 inches taller than Bale and he's just walking around town in the picks above, not pumped before the scene was shot with proper overhead lighting.

For those who said that Batfleck wouldn't look intimidating (not you Citadel) are going to be choking on pounds and pounds of crow when they see the movie.

The dude is carrying his little girl's cartoony backpack in the picture below and still looks badass. Come on!:woot:

Those colorful spikes coming off the backpack look like a possible Batfleck weapon in disguise:woot:

Yea, I think Affleck is a really intimidating dude. 6'4, 225 with roughly 8-10% body fat? yep - I wouldn't want to tangle with that. And with Snyder's visuals, I know his Batfleck is going to be the most physical intimidating Batman we have seen on film to date.

 nailed it.

Ha! One of the most valid points made here in a long while.

I do recall the "Ben Affleck doesn't even look scary. He's got a wimpy face and body" complaints, but I never thought that was true. Especially given how he looked in The Town.

Considering that Bale was quite heavy at the start of production on Batman Begins (the actor had been stuffing his face in an effort to regain much of the weight he'd lost in preparation for The Machinist), I'd wager that his size in the aforementioned BB can be attributed to a level of body fat that's a bit higher than today's standard for actors taking on similar roles.

Affleck could very well be somewhat smaller, but, over the last few months, it's become ever more evident that his trainers are going for that classic superhero physique: mass + definition + v-taper.

Exactly! I mean, yeah, he can have a fratboy-type look at times like in Pearl Harbor, but then a hard street look like in The Town. Actors take on the looks they need for the role. With his current age and size, I think this more weathered Bruce/Bats is going to really come across well on screen with Ben in the role. Yes, there are other actors out there that could have played it, but I think when the first full trailer comes out showing Ben as Bruce and even talking while in the batsuit, I think any remaining apprehension by Batman fans will be alleviated.

This is going to be a visually compelling League for sure. Just imagine once we get shots of AquaMomoa, BatFleck, WonderGal, RayBorg and Cav-El side by side? In the Wilkinson outfits?
You forgot FlashEZ! :cmad:

Now that Ben is huge, he needs to go back and re-do some of his biggest films, with altered titles.

Good Will Hunting AKA Good Will Grunting
Argo AKA Armgo
The Sum of All Fears AKA The Pump of All Fears
Pearl Harbor AKA Curl Harbor
Armageddon AKA Armsageddonbigger

I love how the terms BatFleck / BeastFleck have become like the real life equivalent of BatGod.

I saw some idiot over at CBM complaining that having the actors playing Superman and Batman bulk up the way they have is stupid and it only makes sense to have Captain America in phenomenal shape.

It's a good thing I don't keep an ax on my desk because when I read comments like that, it makes me want to bury one in my forehead.
