oh yes. Ben Affleck IS bruce wayne / Batman.
this is gold shot. dat tension. dat emotion.

I like this hairstyle a lot more than the short one he has now.

i'm going to be both positive and not positive here.

positivity:

the trailer is awesome. everyhing looks awesome. i really like the set-up and darkness of it all.

what i don't like though (and this is just nitpicking, because the shot in itself is like breaking the internet awesome):

nExBTif.gif

the nose in this shot. it comes off to sharp imho, too 'beaky', too night-owlish. i would have preffered it to be slightly smaller or atleast less reflective of the light. it looks too big compared to the head/ears.
it's a minor detail in this shot though, the shot itself is simply amazing and full of tension. i like it. pure badass.

the second thing i don't like; batman in a mech suit. I know the comics show this, and it's true to the 'mechanically-powered-fist-blow-to-the-chin' to superman from the comics, but to be honest, i don't like it.

personally, i think it makes batman look more weak and cowardly. Offcourse it's easy as can be that a 'normal' human-batman is zero match for a alien superbeing. so there must be some form of 'empowerment' to be able to engage into battle. I just don't think a full mech-suit, especially one that looks this clumsy and unwieldy imho as this one.

I liked the 'exoskeleton' mechanic aiding devices in Nolan's batman; where he has it around his arms to punch through walls [ and cut through steel ],
and the leg exoskeleton which fixes his knee injury and makes him kick through concrete.

personally, i'd rather have seen something more like that instead of some sort of 'hulkbuster' iron-man suit-like 'tank' suit.

nevertheless, i'm still okay with it. just some missed opportunities imho.

can't wait for this movie. i want it now

From what I saw, I actually like the nose. It seems to fit well with the monster like cowl.

As for the mech suit, I don't like it either. I don't like the idea of it and the execution looks a bit too cartoony. But after seeing it in the HD, and taking a better look on those separate pieces on his arms and legs, I actually believe that it is much more of an exoskeleton than an armor. Like from the one that enhanced his strength in "TDKR" animated movie.

I just think he looks better (and even more like the character) when his hair is shorter. The length he usually keeps it at in his personal life is perfect (IMO).

I personally like his look with a bit of a longer hair, only thing he needs to do is slick it back, like at SDCC:

But to each his own.

Anyone else notice it looks like there are bullet holes on his chest (one on and one below the bat symbol)? They're definitely not bat nipples :woot: but holes of some sort.

Yup, we did. :cwink: He took some bullets in the pecs.

By the way, your avatar is the reason why I no longer eat when posting at Hype. :woot:

Agreed. I'd be more okay with longer hair if it were styled differently. Oh well.

Yup, we did. :cwink: He took some bullets in the pecs.

I suspect that he got shot by Luthor (or one of his goons) and is in the process of standing right back up again, angrier than ever before.

It's funny: I find that one shot of Affleck to be more intimidating than almost everything I've seen from the other Batmen (the exception being Bale's performance in the interrogation scene in TDK).

Nah, the current, rougher style screams BTAS Bruce.

It's actually the look of a man who's about to crumble because of the rage and darkness inside of him, who could either explode or implode, but who silently tries to go on. Which makes things worse. It's actually my favorite shot of the entire teaser trailer, and a kick-ass way to introduce Ben Afflekc as Bruce Wayne. Just look at how he's breathing, how he's trying to remain still, yet is slightly moved by the darkness inside him. And that flashy lighting on his left sure helps underline his state. He's gonna be one angry, brooding sonofab...

My first thought when I seen that(aided by Irons' voiceover): Batman just got his ass whooped by some super powered alien. He's always known that he could beat anyone, he's spent his life reaching that level, but Superman just manhandled him, embarrassed him. He feels powerless for the first time since he watched his parents die in front of him. The stare of someone who thought they were the best, but then was easily beaten. He's angry. His pride hurt. But he's also calculating, strategizing, just as Batman always does.

It'll likely end up being different, but that's just my interpretation from my first views.

I dont like his hair too short like he has it in real life. Not for Bruce i mean. The way he has it in this movie is perfect.

I find his current hair to be too short for Bruce Wayne.

Oops, I meant current as in the BvS teaser. I too prefer the longer hair, but I don't think it needs to be slicked back. The longer, rougher hair in the teaser screams BTAS Bruce and has a bit of relaxed playboyishness to it:

I really like the hairstyle he's got going on for the movie, but I wouldn't have minded if he had it the way it looked in interviews, like this:

I actually like how he had his hair in the trailer compared to how he did at Comic Con.

See, I think that would work fine for a younger version of the character, but it looks a little weird on one that's in his forties.

Oh, that! Definitely.

Those shots really do look similar. And I forgot that B:TAS Bruce Wayne also had dark eyes.

He looked like Bruce. Intense, rage filled, with strong elements of depression. I want to see Affleck's Miller inspired Batman to be very cruel. Extreme. Breaking bones, being just an all out bad ass to more clearly define himself from Superman. Even being antagonist like for a portion of the film.

Can't wait to see more.

Hope Affleck knocks it out the park. I read somewhere he's a big fan of the character, and took Daredevil because Batman didn't come along.

He certainly looks, and has the size of the character in real life. His social concious nature as it relates to world issues makes him feel very Bruce Wayne like in real life. As did his playboy days when he was smashing then prime J.Lo.

I find it funny that despite having footage of BatFleck we still haven't seen his eyes behind the cowl. It's pretty clear that the white eyes are only for the mechsuit, and his eyes are closed in both official pictures. I wonder if he's forgotten that he's not playing a blind character anymore.:o

So, I'm having trouble trying to figure out why Batman would need a rifle. I get the imagery, he used one in TDKR. But, why have one in the movie. If he's using it as a grapple gun, why doesn't he have a more...advanced Batmanish one? Not really nitpicking, just wondering why he would need one in the movie.

He could be firing a kryptonite sniper bullet at Superman? Could be shooting at a Lex helicopter or aircraft?

We'll find out, bro.

To make Ben Affleck bad ass, and more immersive as Batman ... we need an excessively cruel Miller take on this character. Breaking legs, and bones type stuff. Pushing Punisher lite levels of violence and mental sickness.

He goes at Superman hard at first, only to do detective work, flip and find out Lex is behind everything. Then I can finally see Eisenberg's annoying ass (why I like the inspired casting) get molly whopped by my favorite literary character.

The best shot of it. Don't know if anyone has said it. But I see a suit there. What do you think?

B:TAS Bruce in a suit that is not that 80's one with the ugly shade of brown? I don't recall seeing this before.

Anyway, very nice comparison pics.

It looks like it, but it could be anything to tell you the truth. It is easy to see what you expect to see when you have predetermined idea.
