I'm pretty sure Nolan took several elements from BTAS. I remember in an interview somewhere with either Goyer or Rovan that WB/DC gives the directors/producers/writers the "best of the best" in regards to the characters history.
BTAS is definitely among them and some of the cues from TDK trilogy show the influence.
Hell even portions of Elfman's score appear in Zimmers score for TDK, escaping/alluding many fans. The reason why Nolan's trilogy resonated so hard is because it borrowed many elements from different Batman entries along with Nolan's panache made for a potent combo.
