I'm pretty sure Nolan took several elements from BTAS. I remember in an interview somewhere with either Goyer or Rovan that WB/DC gives the directors/producers/writers the "best of the best" in regards to the characters history.

BTAS is definitely among them and some of the cues from TDK trilogy show the influence.

Hell even portions of Elfman's score appear in Zimmers score for TDK, escaping/alluding many fans. The reason why Nolan's trilogy resonated so hard is because it borrowed many elements from different Batman entries along with Nolan's panache made for a potent combo.
 
Ughh. Just watching The Batman with Killer Croc. It's pretty much the Lizard from Spiderman

For sure. The plot to poison Gotham's water supply with Crane's fear toxin is pretty much lifted directly from the episode Dreams in Darkness, for instance. I remember another interview where Jonah Nolan referenced "Big Bad Harv" from TAS as a take on the character he loved, but not quite the direction they wanted to go in. So it was most definitely on their radar, along with the character's entire history. I think it was quite the Bat-fondue myself. :cool:

Well, it could make sense. Bruce is a bit of a psycho, and we all know the modern psycho has tattoos littered throughout their body. It makes sense! Psychos, tattoos, modern...it all makes sense! How can you not see it? I just hope Bruce wears a completely nonsensical grill, for the sake of being "modern" and "making sense"....and stuff.

Yes... The characters of Bruce Wayne/ Batman and the Joker are so exactly the same that the design elements used to modernize one can totally be used on the other in painstaking precision because liking or being agnostic about the Joker's tattoos in SS as opposed to oh so subtly complaining about it using buzz words like "Hot Topic", "Gangsta", "Edgy" and "Modern", is the same as wanting Bruce Wayne to be covered head to toe in ink. It's simply the exact same thing all around.

Of course it is. Don't you see, when you throw out broad terms to try and reinforce your opinion, everything works.

Bruce is theatrical. It would only make sense that he would want tattoos all over his body, cause you know, theatrics. The modern, theatrical guy would do that. Modern. Theatrical. Psycho. Tattoo. Sense.

I don't understand how you're not seeing this? It all makes sense.

Does anyone know if Affleck is overlapping filming with SDCC? I'm just wondering if we'll see him there this year.
 
^^ he can easily ask for one free day or maybe the schedule on both Amy and Ben movies had one of those days free for SDCC.

Bruce wants to keep his identity a secret, so it isn't logically in his character to cover himself in Battats. There, that's why it's a stupid meme.
