Maybe it's just that nobody can touch the beastfleck.

20 years active and having few scars to show for it actually makes him look like more of a badass.

Unlike this chump who ended up looking like this after only 2.:sly:

Scars on his back make very little sense, he wears a Kevlar cape and bodyarmour. Maybe some on his chest, but not too much.

Even ones on his chest don't make sense, he has that big ass batsymbol on there. The only way he could get scars imo is from his training pre-batsuit/.

Yeah, the popular Alex Ross depiction of a battle-scarred Batman was actually based on a layout from The Brave and the Bold #197. In both illustrations, the character isn't wearing any protective body armor/kevlar beneath his spandex costume.

I absolutely love the way Alex Ross draws his characters.

I always loved the old school bodybuilder/strongman physique he depicts in his works.

I have that particular Brave and Bold in my collection - such a great story (one of the best Scarecrow stories for me) and the Joe Station art never gets tired.

Speaking as a *koff* 40-something, man, some of you people have us with one foot in the grave already. It ain't that old.

Exactly. Eminem is ****ing 40, as is Pharrell.

It's a great fun story. I have it in a collected edition "The Greatest Batman Stories eveh Told".

All great points The Guard.

Also, was anyone else surprised Bruce didn't have any visible scars on his back here? I guess you can see a scar on the top right there but I thought they'd have him have a couple more.

Better armor, duh!

A smaller amount of scars might also lend itself to each one having a very specific story to it. We see he's been shot in the shoulder, in spite of his armor. Maybe Deadshot used a high caliber round and came really, really close?

Maybe we'll see some small ones on areas that wouldn't have as much protection. Maybe he's got some scratches on his side's or midsection from Catwoman managing to get her claws into meat once. Or there's some light burn scarring on some part of his body where Firefly managed to cook him through his suit. Maybe he's got a slash somewhere on his front from a duel with Ra's Al Ghul without his armor.

It would be cool if the biggest physical clue to his career is something Superman can see with his x-ray vision; like Clark see's that his ribs have been broken more than once, his hands show signs of the occaisional boxer's fracture, one of his legs has some pins and plates, or he even has some spine damage that looks strange.

How the **** did Fox manage to stay research head for so long and even become CEO at one point is beyond me. I'd kick that slacker to the streets after the first knife stab through so called "advanced infantry armor".

Actually, as I understand it, crumble zones in areas like the sides are going to be somewhat weaker than other parts of the modern torso armor, particularly in comparison with harder solid plates on the chest and stomach. And I like how it ties into the speech about the armor being lighter but more vulnerable to conventional weaponry from TDK.

It's kind of lie, how I hope there are some ways to get around the BvS armor, like a high powered rifle shot or the heat from a flamethrower through the armor.

Yup, got that too (the one with Jerry Binghams Son of the Demon cover) - although I noticed when flicking through one of the later editions while in a book store that DC had messed around with what stories were included.

"-- but the separation of the plates makes you more vulnerable to knives and gunfire."
"We wouldn't want to make things too easy now, would we?"

And that's the way it should be, for every Batman. Armour/protective suit, but one that isn't totally invincible.

Nah, he's a slacker. I'd hit his ass so hard that he'd never get to work in any building that has its own secretary and hot coffee at disposal again. He'd have to form a partnership with the falafel guy for the rest of his life.

:o

Yup.

That's The reason why Taila was able to stab Batman.

The bullet hole in his back almost seems to line up with the bullet hole on the chest of the batsuit, hmmm.....

I do like the idea of that bullet hole scar possibly being linked to a past run-in with Deadshot. It would certainly tie this Batman to the SS in a way and cause some tension there. I really like how the DCEU is shaping up!

^ While I like that they put a training scene in, it would seem more appropriate if he had a bunch of scars. But maybe that's a flashback of a younger, less scarred Bruce?
Maybe. His hair looks darker.

Dude is rich. Plastic surgery is affordable. He had a secret ID to maintain.

Hell, he probably gets a special discount with one of his doctors being a longtime friend and all. :cwink:
