And she has improved by leaps and bounds since her Twilgiht years.

The expression of fear on his face with and without the cowl is acted out perfectly imo. 404: over-acting not found.

Even though I really liked the idea of white contact-like lenses like in the concept art, I'm really glad now that they chose against it. His eye-movement is subtle but really sells it.

What I like is how his face shifts from fear to anger. Like "What are you gonna do to me?" to "How dare you!"

Affleck has been wanting this part for over a decade and it really shows.

Then to hate and then to suffering right? :cwink:

He's going to comfortably fit in with Keaton and Bale.

He looks more pissed without cowl than with it. :woot:

Affleck was great in this scene, despite the cowl, you can see him shifting from puzzled and curious to being scared.

By the way, I finally changed my mind regarding the white eyes, I don't miss them anymore. I really like that eye shift just before Superman arrives.

And I'm going with either a nightmare or Bizarro. Supes looked genuinely scary and I thought that he had mostly disgusted look on his face, rather than pissed... similarly to the expression he makes when he kneels in front of Luthor.

Exactly, it's little details like this that are important. Isn't it nice to see the fear in his eyes, even though the mask is molded to be scary and angry ? :oldrazz:

Glad to have you on board! #EyesOverLenses

Must he surpass Bale tho? Did Bale surpass Keaton?

Different Batmans all together. I'm going to judge Ben for this Batman and not the previous.

Exactly. The few people that feel the need to incessantly say that "Affleck won't top Bale" or "Bale's the better actor" are getting tiresome.

No one can surpass Kevin Conroy, Happy 60th Birthday to the legend himself!

Agreed. I never really felt too strongly about them though but going sans lenses was a good call.

Although I never liked the idea, I kinda hope that is Bizarro Sups as I want this entire sequence to be real. It looks too rich and edge-of-my-seat interesting to just be a throw-away nightmare sequence but it most likely will be that.

Yessss... Gooood... Come to the Dark Side... We have cake.

Indeed. And actually, I was wanting to say how the "angryness" of the mask hits perfect balance this time. The cowl looked appropriate in both occasions, when he was puzzled in the beginning of the clip and when he got scared by the end of it.

For example, I always had a certain "problem" with Bale's cowl having constantly furrowed brow, which looked a bit off in occasions when he is not supposed to be all that much pissed. Batfleck's cowl has more of a stern expression than angry one per se, and because of that looks fitting with more than one feeling Affleck conveys under that cowl and with lower part of his face.

Glad to have you on board! #EyesOverLenses

Heh. Don't get me wrong, I do like that particular aesthetic of white eyes, I always will, and if nothing Back Panther's lenses prove to me that they can look good, but it's these little things that add to the performance that would be lost and I don't find lenses to be worth the sacrifice.

Yeah, it was. By the way, I really like how Supes rips the Batman mask of and there is still Batman there on Bruce Wayne's face. He was majorly pissed off. :woot:

I suspect no matter if I'm right or someone else, there is something important happening in this sequence. I don't think it is going to be throwaway at all.

That is true. I suspected it to be an important if not even pivotal scene, given that it was shown in both trailers.

That doesn't exclude the possibility that it's a dream that makes a shift in Bruce's mind, though.

What are your theories KRYPTON? You still suspect it to be a postapocalyptic future? Sorry, I've no time to go through previous pages right now, and I'd like to know your thoughts.

Yes! I really liked that. Not to mention, successfully emoting a fearful look in that terrifying cowl is quite the feat.

I'm already too emotionally invested in whatever will go on in this scene. I need it to matter. Lol.

Indeed. He does a great job working around the restrictions of the cowl.

Yeah. I am on a peek at an alt future that Diana is given of a world ravaged after a devastating conflict by hmanity and the other super humans against a tyrant "Superman" that is in fact a duplicate either still under Luthor's thrall or having actually killed Luthor is now in charge himself.

I think those other people hanging next to Bruce are the same group of either horse back riders from trailer 2 or the people we see getting shot by the Super Troopers in the same trailer. Perhaps Batman came to their aid and he got captured for his troubles. I would even suspect a set up to goad a hiding Dark Knight to come out just so he could be over powered and captured.

Diana sees all this and I speculate probably isn't privy to all the facts (Such as the duplicate angle) and she inserts herself into the conflict to avoid that future.

I also think this may be the section of the film where Arthur and Barry factor in. I won't be surprised if we see ths "Superman" in the alt timre line kill them all, Diana and Bruce included.
