Dini seems like the type of guy to not lie about something like that. But yeah, WB always wanted Affleck it seems.

I still think its a bizarre choice. Like how did they even think of it. Do you think if he had not become a respectable director and won the Oscar for WB, would they still have considered him for Batman?

He was offered MoS and JLA all before Argo, so I think WB had him on their radar well before that.

Yes, I've said this a couple of times before. Aparo's Batman, despite appearing quite muscular, is also very tall and kind of lean/slender at the same time. He isn't overly huge and stocky. And that's the way I see Affleck's Batman.

That gray costume isn't intimidating in the slightest, its actually hilarious. The all-black costume is more intimidating, looks better, and allows Batman to hide in the shadows better.

...I'm pretty sure there's zero hate based on his appearance.
I'm squarely in anti-affleck camp but I said day 1 that between his looks and snyder's record of costume design and turning his actors into male models that he's going to look *amazing* when the first promo images come out. He'll probably be the most visually striking cinematic incarnation of the character we've ever seen. It's what comes after that which has me worried.

i have 100% faith in snyder people may bash his films but the performances he got out of jeh,crudup,butler,JDM,cavill were very good

he got good performances out of lesser actors than affleck

I think those wanting a grey Batman suit will be disappointed, I really don't think it would work in live action. Infact I think it would look ridiculous. I can't see them suddenly switching from Black to Grey. I mean look at the latest Batman animated show the reason he has a black costume in that is cause it's semi real looking.

Affleck's maturity tells me they'll opt for an equally modest aesthetic rather than trendy. But I do hope they give him a bit more of an edge. Bruce hasn't looked anything but classical in all of his live-action iterations. I'd like some freshness to his sense of style.
