Did you see it in his face? Felt it in your bones?

I knew Nolan was up to something here. :o

He's just back there like a supervillain. If he was sitting at a desk he'd have his fingers tented like Mr. Burns going "excellent."

Or they've liked him all along.

Yeah some maybe.

Take Hathaway for example. I barely heard **** about her in regards to her previous films, but once she got cast as Catwoman, sooooo many people were claiming they were long time fans.

Yes, some of them in the bat boards probably were, but I doubt most.

Oh, if you're talking mostly about Nolan fanatics then you're probably not far off lol

I've always been 50/50 about him but was really hoping he would get the Captain America role. That said, Contact is one of my fav films and he is a large part of that. You know who else I would like to see in a Nolan film? Martin Sheen.

I like the move alot...Matthew has done some really good films like We Are Marshall, Magic Mike, Lincoln Lawyer, and he really is doing diverse roles to stand out. This is a gamechanger for him and I expect him to take the job

Surprising that McConaughey will be the lead in this, but it's cool I guess.

I like Matty M and he's had a good few years, loved The Lincoln Lawyer so I hope he takes this.

See, that's why I'm interested now. Nobody could have seen this coming.

Now get ready for the "I've always loved McConoughey!" **** to be plastered all over the place before and after this movie comes out. This is why I love Nolan. He has no prejudice with actors in what they have done before and just looks at them for that role. Someone like McConoughey is a prime example.

Exactly! People are will be coming out of the woodwork claiming how great he's always been. :whatever:
Funnily enough while following TDKR kvz5, doomsdayapex and a couple of others were talking about how much we liked Reign of Fire (at least I was :o).

In fact I'll go ahead and look for it so I can actually say "I've liked him and his work all along" seeing as it's true. That will be my ID.

Here it is :) :

Can't speak for kvz5 and others who cheered for his death or didn't like the movie. :p

Good, I'll go on record and say how weak that movie was.:cwink:

Well, I wouldn't say I always loved him, but I always thought he had talent.

One could point to his recent work but going back to A Time To Kill in itself illustrates that the guy has talent.

He was just one of those guys who was stuck in a rut full of terrible rom coms. Thankfully for him he's broken out of that.

Matthew has been on a role for a few years, now that he's seems to have put the romcoms behind him. Bernie, Lincoln lawyer, Killer Joe were all stellar performances. I have always enjoyed him as an actor, but I have never seen any of the romcom's he's been in because no good can come from that, but I will recommend a movie called Frailty. It was directed by Bill Paxton and MM gives a wonderful performance.

more matthew mcconaughey magic.
