The Winter Soldier Captain America 2: News and Speculation - - - - - - Part 19

The narrator's voice at the Captain America exhibit is Gary Sinise. That's ****ing cool. :woot:
Yeah, my sister noticed that when we were watching the credits. The talent they got for this movie, even in little background rolls, is just awesome

I hope it leads to another role in the MCU. I have no idea who he could play, but it'd be awesome.

yes jake, who is the person in your avatar?

He ought to have another role. I don't know who either, but his Mac Taylor character in CSI:NY seems like someone who might show up in a Captain America movie. He would be quite a good fit for that franchise.

I hope he ends up in a movie though rather than just on Agents of SHIELD.

Here's a question: Do we have any idea roughly WHERE on the Potomac River the Triskelion is supposed to be (like how close to the White House, the Pentagon, etc...). I seem to recall them showing Long/Lat. coordinates when we first see it but a) can't remember what they are and b) that's assuming they used real coordinates and didn't just pull numbers out of thin air (which wouldn't surprise me) :oldrazz: :funny:

It should be easy to pinpoint once we get the blu-ray. Not only the coordinates but there were also some good wide shots showing it in the city.

The coordinates for the Lemurian Star were just off the coast of India like they said. Its in one of the online clips.
But.....but....but... I don't WANT to wait for the blu-ray to find out :(

Did anyone else notice that when Steve entered the elevator with Fury that the elevator said he was level 8, however when Pierce was giving the Winter Soldier his mission, he said his targets were two level 6 operatives(referring to Steve and Natasha). I believe this to be a visual error, and not a script error, because if Steve was level 8, then he should know that Coulson is alive.

I believe that the level 8 was still on the elevator screen because it was for Fury. Fury was probably the only level 8 in SHIELD. He had just entered the elevator before Steve, so it makes sense.

Not necessarily.

1) We know from AOS that specific files are restricted to specific agents.

2) There is no reason why Cap or Natasha would do file digging on whether or not Coulson is alive.

3) Why would Fury keep it a secret from them anyways? It's not like the Avengers would all of a sudden split up if Coulson is alive. That would be like Peter quitting being Spider-Man and tossing the "with great power" message aside just because someone revives Uncle Ben.

It makes more sense for Steve and Natasha to be level 8 than 6's. It doesn't make sense for them to be a 6 and for Ward to be a 7.

I bet if Cap had that talk with Zola before his argument with Tony in The Avengers, he would've had some more ammo.

Tony: "You're just a laboratory experiment, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle."

Steve: *Stares Tony in his eyes* "HYDRA killed your father." *Drops mic and walks off*

I believe Steve is, in fact, a Level 8 (meaning he increased 2 levels between the pilot episode of AoS and the events of CA:TWS). However, just because he's level 8 doesn't give him automatic access to all Level 8 files, he could still be individually restricted from some information (Coulson experienced this himself when he was trying to get information on his own recovery).

The "Level 6 targets" that Pierce uses I don't think is referring to what level the agents are within sSHIELD, I think it's more of a 'threat assessment' level (if that makes sense). So there could be a Level 4 Agent that's considered a Level 1 target because they're ridiculously easy to take out without even batting an eyelash (probably an exaggeration, but I hope it's a point that makes sense)

Fury is a Level 10

So… there's this:

What if the level 6 Pierce was talking about wasn't a SHIELD agent designation, but a level (threat related?) that Hydra places on their targets? That's how I interpreted it.

Yeah, it said Fury was Level 10 when he walked on the elevator.:oldrazz:

Of course, the simple answer may be that the script writers just didn't catch the slip.

Noooo! The movie was absolutely perfeeect! There are no mistakes. :o
