Chapter 59 - "An Invisible Thread" Discussion Thread - 4/27/09

What is going to happen when Sylar/Nathan gets a paper cut or a bruise or any of the countless injuries a person gets on a daily basis and just heals? Then what? Sigh...this is a ridiculous plot. Especially when a so much more obvious out was there. Claire blood damn it :cmad:

Damn, that's a good one. :csad:

Is time to reboot the series. I dont know what kind of explanation they can do but I wouldnt be opposed to them completely erasing this entire third season. When Future Peter time traveled to the past, that set off a chain of reactions that created the mess of a season we had this year. Go back and have Future Claire kill him before he can do that and lets restart from there. OR have the entire season be a dream of Sylar's. I dont care what they do really, just start over and get it right this time

:::Spoilers:::: Warning

Goodbye forever Heroes. This fan gives up after all that. That was a slap to the face. This season gave us nothing. No big finale battle at all. No big send off for Nathan. We finally see Peter outsmart Sylar. And the moments after pure garbage. Matt Parkman is used to the dumbest thing of all time. Mind warping Sylar to be Nathan. Sylar can fix everything by being Nathan? Why would Peter let it happen when he can fix it? Peter can shape shift! My guess is the writers will say that Claire and Peter don't know they did that. Even though Peter knocked Sylar out and brought him to Parkman. This plot hole is so big.. it kills you as a fan. If Parkman can mind warp Sylar.. Why not make Sylar kill himself? Why because Sylar knows where his spot is! I liked the Return Of The Jedi reference with the burning of Sylars body. Like Darth Vaders body being burned! Everyone standing around it like hes dead! I know am not the only thinking wow. Overall season 3 has killed off the fan inside. Season 4 will be the last season. Farewell Heroes and I hate you Tim Kring.

You know this whole thing with Sylar becomes Nathan storyline reminded me of that ridiculous "brain transplant" storyplot. If you guys watch Friends, remember when Joey returns to "The Days Of Our Lives", and he explains to Ross that Doctor Drake Remora returns after having a brain transplant.............

The new plot in Heroes reminds me of that. It's ridiculous, just because Sylar is walking around, pretending to be Nathan, ....... it's still pretending, it's not real......... HUGE PLOT HOLE EVERYWHERE IN THIS FINALE

The battle was horrible. Once again the staff screwed the viewers out of a real battle and instead focus on Claire's eye through the peep hole. The staff should be ashamed.

Even if the blood didn't work, Peter can shapeshift now. He could have asked the President to cut it out, assigned Noah as head of the company, and then pretended to die in a car crash only to be dug up later and remove the thingamajig from the back of his skull. Seriously, freaking Sylar? The guy who killed how many characters close to the heroes? The guy almost everyone has a beef with for some reason or another?

I think I lost all respect for Angela. She was always capable of a lot of things, but replacing her son with his murderer....wow.

Oh please as if any of them are going to trust this Nathan. Its only a matter of time before he remmebr he's Sylar and comes out to kill them all, especially when he senses their distance

The funny thing is, like Sylar's last three "deathes," its not even going to last one into the new volume. He will start to remember his true identity by the end of episode one of season 4, guarantee it.

Yargh thar be spoilers ahead
When, oh when, will they have the balls to permanently kill off anyone? I was so hoping that they would finally kill off sylar. I feel so cheated right now. Couldn't angela, or HRG, have seen the whole sylar slowly coming back thing?? I wouldve much rather have seen the heroes take on a 100 dankos than have this crappy storyline shoved at us. And why can't we ever see a battle that is potentially epic?? Huh? Why? I'm sick of seeing flashes of light through a friggin' door crack. And why is Tracy hydro-woman? I thought she was icewoman. Ugh, I am so close to giving up on this series.

Yeah, exactly! There were so many routes that were so much more logical.

Don't blame Angela, blame piss poor writing.

Also, when the hell did Sylar gain the ability to fly?

Technically he could have been lowering himself with telekinesis. That or maybe he absorbed flight through empathy, he did have to try and understand Nathan after all

At this point the best way to end Heroes is have the entire show end up nothing but a dream by Peter or Hiro who just wishes they were Super Heroes but none of it in fact happened

So I guess peter is back to being omnipotent? Seriously though was this the only way the could keep Quinto and Pasdar on the show?

Well, they've already used identical twin and clone :cwink:

You know, I didnt hate the ending, however, when will Nathan and Sylar ****ing stay dead?!

The main thing that bothers me about the ending, story wise, is that Peter and Claire (Peter especially) don't know what happened. Partly because it's ridiculous (Peter brought Sylar to the room, did he just go to the bathroom or something afterwards?) and partly because Peter reacting to Nathan's death would have been a really good scene.

They just wanted to save some plot for next season, where Peter learns what really happened and gets all angry.

However, Peter and Sylar in the limo was fantastic. And despite it taking place behind closed doors, the lead up to the big fight was nice, them prepping at the door. The fight sounded cool at least.

LOL At least Peter did some thing very smart here :oldrazz:
That was my favorite part of the entire episode.

All it's gonna do is get him really pissed at Angela.

Anyway, I just hope that having Bryan Fuller and Mark Verheiden (he's from BSG, mofos) there from the beginning of the season will do some good, but maybe i'm holding out too much hope.

Honestly, even though they had other options, I think the Sylar/Nathan thing could make for some good story next year. But only time will tell.

I hope in season 5. Peter loses it after hearing what they did with Sylar. And kills off Parkman, Angela, Noah, and Sylar/Nathan. Of Course the Sylar battle would be epic. The finisher would be Peter kills himself.. before Claire can kill him. That's redemption to me! No one would expect that!

Exactly, same with Claire, so once again we will have to endure another Noah lies to Claire story line and another Angela lies to Peter story line.

Also, is it me or is it a tad creepy that Claire's would-be-rapist is now posing as her father?

Here's a question I have: what the hell was the point of Tracy popping up at the end?!
