So true. :lmao: I don't think we'll ever see Bale play a clean-cut-dapper-suit-wearing character ever again. I swear he now has a criteria that he will now only consider roles where he has to grow an epic beard.

Hey, not everyone can do it. So he might as well utilize that talent!

Ever since the announcement of Affleck, I have no interest in seeing Bale's Batman return for some shared universe with Superman. It's making me more happy with the trilogy. But of course I would have loved to have seen one more movie done between Knight and Rises. Im satisfied but it would have been awesome if they worked a story into that timeline.

Bale in the Kilmer suit looks great. I never really noticed how similar the Begins suit looks to the Forever one. The larger bat on the chest, the shape of the cowl, the proportions, the cape clasps, very cool.

He was clearly the best voice. Funny how his voice and demeanor got him the job and now, that's the very thing that is picked apart and made fun of. He knew what he was doing in 2004/2005. It's a shame how they changed it up in latter films.

I love the screen tests too. Wayne and Ra's/Ducard look scary, especially with those dark features. It pisses me off how in that montage that there's zero Ledger Joker though. That's insulting.

Looks like Cillian Murphy could've brought some of the off kilter charm Michael Keaton brought to the role. Perhaps a bit of creepiness to Bruce's essentially obsessive pathos.

Selfishly, im happy it was taken down. Since im buying it in a day or two anyhow, I don't want to be spoiled too much. Im sure the whole thing will be up online in a matter of days or a week tops for everyone who wont spend the money.

    Oh yes, I concur :cwink:

I'll definitely miss Bale as Bruce/Batman, but I'm curious to see what Affleck can do with the role. I'll give him a chance.

They mentioned that Nolan met with a few other actors before Ledger, but they didn't say who. They were intimidated by Jack Nicholson's performance. Ledger is the one who called Nolan and said he was interested.

Adrien Brody was one of them, apparently.

I seem to remember rumors about Nolan meeting Sean Penn about the role.

Sean Penn? I doubt it. They were doing an origin story.

Oops sorry, I glanced through the thread, thought we were still talking about Bruce Wayne's audition.

So Sean Penn for Joker? Hmm. That's possible but I haven't heard anything.

I remember hearing the Penn discussions among every fanboy in the world praying we got Adrien Brody or Crispin Glover, I honestly waited patiently without even one main actor in mind that I wanted to play The Joker, I had a feeling it would be something special little did I know....;)

Well, from what I could gather, Nolan offered the part to Sean Penn but he turned it down. I don't think an offer was ever made to Brolin.

What I really want to see is Lachy Hulme's audition for Joker. I mean Nolan really dropped the ball in not casting him.
