Because they make no attempt to hide it. She has a beard and a deep voice. Obviously she's gonna be a man, or at best, it won't shock anyone. At least with, say Dr. Girlfriend, she's hot, so it'd come kind of out of left field, even though she does have man-voice.

if I could get some clarification as to what constitutes a personal attack on a poster...because I have seen exchanges where one poster has simply posted "shut up" and they've gotten a prob ban for that

Usually in the area of "probationary bans" it is not necessarily "just that post" that gets the probo......it is a series of infractions, etc.....that has led to the probationary bans. We give very few probo's for "a post" usually its because there have been 4, 5, 6 infractions for the same type post.....and the next step is a probo.....

So in the scenario that you are speaking of, the probation was not given for a post with "shut up" in it....it was given as the next step because the poster is apparently not learning from the infractions given before, for posts of that nature.

There is alot more that goes into it, than just the post itself. We look at the conversation as a whole, were both posters involved....did it lead to flame, or come from flame....etc.

Ahh yea I understand that, you explained it well.

I just mean say someone who has built up infractions. If they told someone to "be quiet" would the more civil manner be taken into account? Or would it just be treated as "shut up!"

I would infract for either of those. That being said, it's alot easier to just IGNORE someone instead of being snarky and starting a fight.
