Community Feedback

It's been brought up many a time before. I don't know the official stance on it as of right now, but I can tell you that it's definitely been discussed within the past couple of days.

It's something we're looking into, but I can't make any promises.

Exactly.

From what I've seen, Mirko's against the idea. Besides, If we keep making sub-forums, what will the Community consist of?

I believe the lastest is that Mirko said he'll "think about it". So... you can see that as either glass half full or half empty. As an optimist, I am hopeful.

Do you think it's really necessary, though?

I was in favor of it at first and I'm not against it now, but, eventually, there won't be anything left of this beloved little Community but tons of sub-forums. :csad:

Not true, my good man. There will always be Terry.

Is it necessary? No. I don't think that the sports and celebrities and diner sub-forums are necessary either but we have it and I don't know, I think community looks better 'organized' when we have threads that can be 'categorized' in one place rather than one huge clutter. Yes, I'm a neat freak.

There'll always be something in Community as long as people keep bringing something here. Those sub-forums are still part of Community.

Personally, I'm glad that there is a sports section. If I want to look at the sports threads, I like it that they are grouped together and are easy to find.

I am glad too. It may not be necessary but it sure makes 'surfing' the Community more convenient. You know immediately where to go when you're looking for a certain thread rather than having to look through pages of threads in Community proper, especially when the SEARCH feature fails you. :(

There are more trollish people that are actually serious that still reside on these boards.

No other member has posted a pictures of animals and dead babies and compared them to the children of moderators.

See, I understand where you're comin' from.

Why don't we have a book forum? We have a comic book forum.

I don't think that books and music need their own sub-forums. They are a great part of the current Community and keep things moving in there pretty nicely.

Child of a moderator that was de-modded due to a lie. Your profound dislike of said person is utterly perplexing. I figured that bad blood would have died down by now but I guess not. There are many sides to this story it seems and I guess we all will never know the truth but oh well...it doesn't matter anymore.

The nature of his dismissal is really none of your concern, nor did it have anything to do with the situation in question. So I really don't how you can come come off acting like you know something to be a fact.

Well, not really. The Prostitution forum never really got off the ground.

That's because you guys banned blind_fury.

At any rate, a music forum would be fantastic. It doesn't need elaborate sub-forums and all that, just a space for folks to talk music.

It caused an uproar around here and although no one came out and gave us posters a full reason as to the whole situation, the staff at the time wasn't unanimous on the decision and seeing as talks to allow her to come back still go on says something about the whole thing that both sides were obviously lying and to what extent I don't pretend to know.

"Uproar" is a massive stretch.

and although no one came out and gave us posters a full reason

And to expect someone to do so would be incredibly foolish on your part. Any banning is really not the business of anyone outside the poster affected, "controversial" or not.

And you're better off that way, to be honest.

It's a dead issue. Neither party can claim to be right or wrong in the matter. Said moderator is no longer a part of the staff for reasons that will remain undisclosed, and said user will remain on perma status due to their extensive history of issues prior to the incident.

I said it didn't matter anymore??? It is just odd how sore of a subject this is and although I appreciate the work the mods here do, the questions and discussions in here about those decisions shouldn't be tossed under the rug because we all know we are all human and it is hard to not let personal views and opinions affect our decisions in what we do as posters and mods.

I'm not talking about the DM incident.

I was. I just want to clarify that I am not talking about the first banning of said person because that was just all sorts of bad. After they came back was what I was questioning because it highlighted that the decisions of the staff was not unanimous and the reasons behind it were faltered.:cwink:

But it is over with so.

Any new update on what suggestions in here have been discussed, turned down, and implemented?

To be fair, he wasn't demodded until WELL long after the whole sitch you're talking about, and he wasn't de-modded, per se, so much as he stepped down.

I think a deeper more influential discussion lies in the hypothesized and oft misinformed location of a certain "Waldo".
