You know what'd be sweet? A mini 18+ board section.

You guys could turn off the censors in those threads and allow discussion of more adult themed things. People could talk of alcohol,sexuality and relationships, etc, and just be more "adult".


Though being an adult is no excuse for being filthy or over the top. That section would still have to be clean, in the sense of being mature and reasonable....People couldn't end every sentence with uc between an F and a k.

Wouldn't work. People aren't supposed to sign up unless they're 13, and there are plenty of underage kids here, despite that.

Is there a reason you need to throw out challenges at every turn. You're a good poster, I like you but this conversation is melting my eyeballs.

You know how many infractions we have given out based on the argument you are trying to make, you are playing semantics. Bypassing the censor encompasses exactly what you did. The censor is responsible for stopping the use of swears. If you don't just type the swear straight out, than anything you are doing is bypassing the censor. You don't think what you did is bypassing the censor, the manner in which you typed it went around the censor...explain how that is not bypassing it?

Say for the sake of argument we did have a mini 18+ board. What would be wrong with saying f*** any time we wanted to?

Technicalities are like arguing semantics. The whole point is to not curse, dodging the censor in any kind of way is still in effect cursing.


It's like Casino's that think "13" is bad luck so they call the 13th floor "14". It's stupid because it's still the 13th floor.

If children weren't allowed here, I'm sure, or at least I hope, that we'd be given free rein to "curse" whenever we saw fit, provided, of course, we weren't attacking someone.

According to the rules it says you could receive a warning or probation, I guess you got the middle ground with an infraction. I do understand your point, and I do understand Brodie's. I agree there could be some fine tuning like anything else, but for now it is what it is. You did bring it up here, so I will take Brodie's suggestion as well as your complaint into our community thread and stand with what you guys said to see if we can get a result out of it.

If you had a kid, and you might, wouldn't you rather say boobies and crap or the other terms? It is pretty universal for most parents I would say. Thus why those words would be censored instead of others. So since you understand that this board has kids on it, which means you understand the words we censored, your suggestion it to go even further and censor boobies and crap? Really?

I got in trouble for typing this exactly and it said by bypassing the censor: "fu**ing". I didn't bypass the censor. Bypassing the censor would be me going and changing what the censor censored or being creative and using numbers or something. If it lets me type fu** then I see no problem with it
