As a card carrying hat wearer of over 35 years let me say... Always have a variety. Wear the beanie... And break it up with at least two or three other quality lids that you can match with most of your usual clothing options. Actually... I suggest a minimum of six hats but essentially in just three styles.

For argument's sake let's say... Trilby, Beret, Flat Cap are your choices. Get two of each. One is a lighter material for the warmer/hot days and the other is thicker or more insulated for those cooler autum/winter months. Pick a variety of colors to match whatever you might be wearing that day. I would also say... You should make sure you have at least one or two wet weather hats and I mean a couple made specifically for the rain in some way.

As a final tip... of... the... hats?

Anyway... Last bit of advice is that hats in my opinon are great for the average person if they keep hair really long or really short. Both will work out okay but if your hair is inbetween... It's never gonna look good after you take the hat off.
