DC Solicits for April PREVIEW

After I read the solits it occurred to me there was no Ion and it made me sad.

Aquaman I think sounds exciting as does Connor Hawke.

Can't wait for JSA Classified, like me a bit of Alan. Blue Beetle sounds fun, as does Monster Society.

I wish Checkmate wasn't crossing over with Outsiders and is Brave and the Bold "Batman teams up with a random hero every month". There are more people than just Batman to team people up with :/

Matthew Clark draws awesome for a dude who had a heart attack fairly recently:

#2 was solicited with Green Lantern and Supergirl.I think it changes with every issue, and Bats isn't in all of them.Waid said there would be lots of guest stars though.

What's the lowdown on this "new" Blue Beetle anyhow? Is he Ted Kord or someone else?

Oh I remembered it as Batman and Supergirl. Still anyway even with Jordan it is two ****ty overexposed characters teaming up.

The Cool
- Tempest and Sub Diego are finally returning to Aquaman

- Wonder Woman is being brought up to schedule

- Amazon's Attack seems rather cool

- Kent Nelson returns as Dr. Fate. I hope he's put on Justice Society of America because this book is not going to last

- World War III, Justice Society of America made me curious what the hell this is about and I want to find out more about my main man, Aquaman

- 52 is finally ending

- The Secret Six are returning in Birds of Prey

The Bad
- The cover of Nightwing Annual #2 looks good, except for Batgirl's and Robin's faces

- I like McDaniel's art on Green Arrow, but his art was never suited for covers

- No Ion

- Manhunter getting canceled and I just got into this book :csad:

- That Outsiders Annual #1 cover looks freaking fugly

- Connor Hawke: Dragon's Blood is ending

I Am So Freaking Pissed Off
- Firestorm getting canceled. F**k you Dan Didio! F**K YOU! F**K YOU! F**K YOU! F**K YOU! I am so f**king pissed off. Firestorm was awesome. I kill you all in your sleep heads of DC for cancelling this book! :cmad:

I'm putting in a few more mad faces

:cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad:

Where the hell is that image that has all the mad faces clumped up

Can you really blame DC for cancelling Manhunter and Firestorm? I mean, as good as both books may have been, their sales have pretty much been in the basement for quite some time.

I'm actually quite glad they're in the book. While Supergirl may not be able to be saved, with Mark Waid writing, Hal Jordan certainly can.

Just in case you didn't know, it's a nephew of the original Kent Nelson that was named after him.:(

Great! Sooooo, they fu¢k up Speedball. They cancel Manhunter after they decided to give it another chance. And they're gonna cancel Firestorm? Another fave of mine. See? This is what I was talking about in that thread where they revealed the Speedball thing. I'm cursed.:(

Of course I can blame DC because there are s**t books like Supergirl, Hawkgirl, and All-Star Batman and Robin, that deserve cancellation way more than my precious Firestorm.

I know, but it's bound to happen where newbie Kent winds up working with the original Kent and they're bound together like the other Fates were with Nabu

No action comics and superman? wtf yo?

I've been waiting a while for this arc with mcduffie on firestorm.

GREEN LANTERN #19
Written by Geoff Johns
Art by Ivan Reis & Oclair Albert
Cover by Ethan Van Sciver
"The Mystery of Star Sapphire" continues as Hal Jordan learns the truth behind the obsessive alien parasite known as the Star Sapphire. But if her thirst for him is quenched, what does that mean for the fate of Earth? Plus, the backup feature "Tales of the Sinestro Corps."
On sale April 25 o 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US

Didn't the Spectre kill her in Infinite Crisis? Not that I'm asking for consistency from my comics or anything.

They aren't canceling Manhunter. They gave it 5 more issues. After all those have sold (only two have come out so far) they will make a decision if it will get another run.

yeah and the cover of Ivan Reis showing Star Sapphire is soooo HOT.
Reading 52 on a weekly basis was such an experience, the extra six bucks I spent on the individual issues were really well-worth it.
I agree. I rarely wait for the TPB. Most of the time, it's more exciting and sometimes great experiences to read the book issue after issue, on a weekly basis. ...and sometimes not.

Because the solicitation says final issue.

Yeah, my bad. I rushed when I looked at it the first time and didn't really look at the price or what was after it. It's a shame he didn't get to be part of the JLoA, when Ronnie was part of the JLA it was my favorite era. I thought it was also very cool to see his pic on the table when the JSoA were considering members. What the heck, I only started to warm up to Jason later on so......:(
