But the biggest tell that the problem was Arrow is that when she appeared on The Flash in season 1, she came off a lot more likable in her short scenes there, then she did early on in Arrow, because of how her character was written. She was always angry or bitter with somebody, but on The Flash, she was a bit more carefree and light-hearted and was allowed to smile and it was such a huge contrast to how she appeared on Arrow.

This. :) Her brief appearance on Flash was great, and I loved her interactions with Cisco. The Flash writers had a better handle on her character for just a couple of scenes than the Arrow writers did most of the time.

She was a far better and more interesting character on Arrow than she was on the Flash. It takes more than smiles to get me interested. My main problem with her on Arrow was her not featuring more or having more importance, and having to take a backseat to much less interesting characters. People had similar silly complaints about Iris like there was for Laurel, it should be said.

She was on Flash for like 3 minutes. :funny:

It seemed to be enough for one poster to say that they had a better handle on the character. I didn't see you laughing at that, despite it being far more laughable.

The main argument is that in those three minutes, they handled her much better than Arrow did in 3 seasons.

Obviously, you need more than three minutes to judge whether a character or their arcs would be interesting, but based on what they showed on Flash, her character had way more personality than she did on Arrow because, as you said, she was not treated as an importance character.

My point is, I want to see the same care that the Flash writers gave her in her cameo. On Flash, she was a "hero" that Cisco was a fan of. On Arrow, she was Sara's inexperienced sister. She never got the respect that the Black canary should get on a show about the Green Arrow.

I found that Cisco stuff to be cringe inducing, but I agree that if they treated her like a big deal and not just a side-kick then that would be great. Lots of people were complaining about Iris last year (and just like a lot of the complaints with Laurel, I found them to be silly and not ones that a male character would be receiving if he were doing the same things). More people liked the much less interesting Snow (somewhat similar to Laurel and Felicity in early seasons). Have things improved on that front? I have a bit of catching up to do with the Flash, so I want to know if they have improved things with Iris for most fans on here (not that I think they did anything wrong with her in the first place).

I'd say the biggest issue with Issue was that, much like Laurel in season 1 and 2, was that she had no purpose on the show aside from being the love interest, and it probably would have been better to introduce them later on in the series.

With that said, Iris was handled much better this season because she finally had her own arcs. As for Caitlin, I don't want to spoil things, but her arc, at least to me, felt more reduced in terms of what type of character they had her be. But one thing that doesn't really happen is any hints or sexual chemistry between her and Barry. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I feel like they barely interacted as much with each other this season and Caitlin as a whole took a bit of a back seat. But Iris, especially now that she knows Barry's secret, plays a larger role in his life and its not simply as a love interest.

With Laurel, I wanted them to build her up as a strong, independent character, instead of another follower of Oliver.

I think she is. She keeps coming and going so much it is hard to keep track.

Episode 25 arrives in DC Universe Online today

June 29, 2016 Leave a comment

The Penguin is opening the Iceberg Lounge in Gotham City. That is… probably not a good thing, but it’s still legal. So of course, DC Universe Online players will have to contend with the arrival of Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, and Catwoman at the grand opening. There’s no way that’s going to end well, but you don’t have to take our word for it, as it’s the solo instance added in the game’s Episode 25 update.

Once you’ve handled that particular mess, you can scurry off to gather friends and then help Vixen try to solve the mysteries of Kahndaq in the new four-player Operation being added. The episode will be live today at 1:00 p.m. EDT for everyone, with members having free access to the content and non-members able to purchase it separately. It’s two separate messes for you to clean up, sure, but considering the whole game is about cleaning up one mess or another, players will probably be fine.

It is funny that Neal was there. Do the previous seasons villains usually appear at these cons in the summer? I wonder will he make any appearances next year. Hopefully he will.

I believe he will. The cast swayed him to start doing cons and he said that he really enjoys them so he will probably continue to show up.

Interview from HVFF

Nothing really new (idk if all these people who interview her don't pay attention to other interviews but....)

-She doesn't think this is the last we've seen of LL/BC/BS
-SA knew of LL death, she told JB about it personally
-Found out the night before HVFF in January.

Nice posts on Katie's remarks at the con. It's always great to hear her thoughts. Thanks!

Woah woah woah, if this is real, that person needs to get their lips off his ass and his realize that that just doesn't make any sense. So apparently, killing Laurel helps fulfill Sara's White Canary journey? Since when was that more important? And was the decision to be the Green Arrow not because of what hapened with Ras and then Felicity's persuasion to return?

Man, get out of here. If that's the case, I hope KC never returns because that's some real BS right there.

I hope Dinah Laurel Lance appears in Supergirl instead.

I feel like the smart thing to do would have her show up as BC in Supergirl and them become friends.
