Yes most of the disappointment is US based and the currency effects have muted the gains made in many other territories. The US is what people first focus on though usually. As you say just blame America. t:

If it makes it to 1.4 that would be cool but it all depends how Japan takes it. China is wrapping up with its run in a few days and OS overall has slowed down considerably and other stuff is about to be released.

I can't imagine it not making it to $1.4...$30-50 million from Japan on top of whatever else it makes from there overall as well as other places should cover it.

I would say 1,445 -1,460 bil WW total. 1,4 is a lock. the rest depends on Japan.

OS without Japan is not much left, I see maybe 15M left in the tank, I see Japan going 20M to 40M (if it does more I'm happy but generally 20M to 40M would be great for a MCU film in Japan) and Domestically we are towards the end too (255 to 260M is my guess)

I could be wrong and if I am that's cool, but I don't feel 1.4B is a lock, if it makes it, I feel it will tight and JUST make it.

(Unless that overseas total really has not been updated and there is way more there than listed)

However,if Japan just pulls a Frozen and falls in love with this movie, than that changes everything but I was going by if AoU pulls around IM3 to Avengers BO numbers.

I doubt that would happen in Japan, this doesn't particularly appeal to their sensibilities. I think Frozen did, they are a country that accept animated films more warmly.

Hard to say when boxofficemojo hasn't been updating as regularly as they normally do & I don't fully trust boxoffice.com's numbers.

Yeah, but even when the grossings move, it doesn't seem like much, i've been feeling that with the films in general, at first Mad Max was constantly moving, but all of a sudden it gets almost static for more than a week.

There is no 25 mil from OS with China. China is done with AoU as of today. Remember, it only stays 30 days in China then its gone. OS alone (without Japan) does not have 25M left to it.

It all really hangs with Japan. It's not impossible by any means but you could get 40M with Japan, or you could get 15M.

According to boxoffice.com AOU has finished it's run in China at $236 million.

That OS total had been that amount for awhile, I figure it's not much more but I would like know just the same. The WW total is going up using the added domestic.
