We can't really be certain of anything considering we don't know what Marvel has planned. He could have a cameo, he could have a big role, he may not appear at all. It's a wait and see game.

It's so heavily assumed, but hilarious because it hasn't been announced "officially" yet. Even the actors have vouched for it. However technically speaking he's not in the movie, yet. I believe they'll save that announcement for when Spider-Man is cast. 2 spiders, one stone.

Everyone from Marvel is alluding to this.

Its happening for sure. He might even have a significant role. they had the script with him as protagonist ready. Marvel had 2 scripts. noone knows which one they used or how they alter them after the deal was made.

Btw FF7 OS numbers arent that staggering. If you remove China its 750 mil OS which is below HP7 , Avengers and Avatar. For sure its impressive but definately not a record.

And i think AoU has a decent chance of matching 1,15 bil OS. Its pretty much neck and neck with FF7 on most OS markets.

Difficult to say because we probably won't see the overseas numbers for the week+weekend until Monday. I'd like to think that in reality AoU will have passed Iron Man 3 going into the weekend.

Come to think of it, maybe not. It's still a full $65M behind Iron Man 3. Even if you add on all overseas grosses from Monday to Thursday, no guarantee that it's ahead of Iron Man 3 ($1.215B).

China's boxoffice from last weekend was already accounted for in the $770m overseas total. It's still at $1,151,316,733. BOM updates the foreign numbers on Sunday.

Actually is pretty guaranteed for 1,21 bil. Its still running in theaters worldwide and its not going to stop for weeks.

Its doing 1,4+ bil WW make no mistake. Depending on China & on a smaller scale in Japan it could still beat the original Avengers 1,52 bil.

I think it will be below 450 mil.

It will end up with 400 mil after the 4th weekend and the next 4 weekends will probably amount for another 20 mil plus another 15-20 mil in the days between so im guessing 440 mil will be the ceiling.

Perhaps im wrong we ll see.

Im gonna call for 437 mil.

These numbers in the $400ms are probably more sustainable for the future big Marvel event films like Civil War and the 2 Infinity wars.

Do you know how many films would kill for 750m? lol The 7th film in a franchise making that kind of money is impressive no matter how you spin it. It's performance was indeed staggering especially when you consider it's a 2D film doing it.

AOU is already starting to slow down in China based on what I've read on the boxoffice forums. 230+m is a likely finish. It's still a great number but Tomorrowland opens there on Tuesday. So it's legs, which were already weak, will start getting chipped away by the competition.

Trying to downplay Furious 7's numbers is ridiculous.

Yeah I just read the link, it seems like it is collapsing in China. 200+ million is still a great number of course and more than double the first film's gross.

I dont mean to downplay Furious 7 OS numbers. maybe i sounded like that but i dont.

All i meant is that its foreign numbers without China are not a record.And China has increased the total OS number significantly.Its 1/3 of its total gross OS which is way bigger percentage than any other film. 32% of its total. Second only to Transformers 4 AoE (37%).

Furious 7 OS total without China is 6th best with 756 mil.

1.Titanic has 2,14 bil
2.Avatar has 1,82 bil
3.Harry Potter 7 pt2 has 900 mil
4.Frozen has 825 mil
5.Avengers has 809 mil

P.S If China does fail like people are suggesting then its bb 1,4-1,5 bil WW and Furious 7 will be the WW king of 2015. AoU will struggle to beat Harry Potter 7 pt2 gross of 1,34 bil for the number 5 spot of all time. Although Frozen's 6th spot WW with 1,27 bil shouldnt be a problem.

But if Pacific Rim 2 makes 700 mil OS with 500-600 of that from China we can hardly say it is a HIT MOVIE overseas you know ?

All im saying is that even though FF7 has bigger total OS numbers it is still in the same league with HP7 pt 2 , Frozen & Avengers.

It's performance was indeed staggering especially when you consider it's a 2D film doing it.

That was released in 3D on international markets.
Not that it isn't an amazing performance all around (because it definitely is) but 3D played a major part in its success overseas.
