SYNOPSIS:

MORGAN EDGE SETS HIS SIGHTS ON LENA — When multiple children get sick from lead poisoning, Morgan Edge (guest star Adrian Pasdar) points the finger at Lena (Katie McGrath) and blames her creation of the lead bomb she made to save National City from the Daxamites. While Lena knows she never intended any harm, she fears there may have been a flaw in her design, leaving her responsible. Kara (Melissa Benoist) teams up with Samantha (Odette Annable) to clear Lena’s name, but it turns out to be harder than they thought. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) make a crucial decision about the future of their relationship. Kevin Smith directed the episode written by Eric Carrasco & Cindy Lichtman

Honestly, I'm kind of glad to see them addressing the lead thing. That was a plot point that made a lot of people go "wait a minute...." in the finale, lol.

Well, people were exposed to lead in the atmosphere for 60 years from lead tetra-ethyl in gasoline for automobiles. Lead tetra-ethyl first started being used in the 1920s and lead wasn't phased out until the 1980s, when ironically it stopped being used because lead was bad for catalytic converters, not because the lead was bad for people. And yet we managed to survive just fine those 60 years. So I think the people of Earth-38 could have gotten by with just a one time exposure to lead in the atmosphere. It's not like long term exposure would build some sort of immunity to lead in people.

Interesting point Osiris.

But I think Lena will be blamed but I don't think the lead will actually be coming from what they did it quite possibly could be just simply covering up environmental high jinx that Edge is doing.....

No I don't think it will end up being her fault, but I still think it's good they're addressing the issue/possibility nonetheless.

This should be part of the November sweeps.

When I see Lena Luthor and Morgan Edge, I'm thinking what could've been had Max Lord stayed.

This is definitely going to be Lena-centric. I hope this episode will continue to focus on the four women like last night's episode.

Was nice to see Kara, James, and Winn get together to do some sleuthing too. Haven't really seen much of that since season 1.

I have a feeling that we may not see Lena Luthor for awhile after this episode if they're skirting her close to being evil.

Midvale is the flashback for Kara and Alex, Wake Up focuses on the underwater ship/ J'onn and his father/ Reign and her adopted mother, and the crossover with the other shows.

With Lena I think it's because Edge is using children as his leverage and as we saw in the finale you put children in the picture and that makes a big difference to her. So I don't know that she's going off the deep end as much as children may be her Kryptonite?

Yeah, remember her pet project last season was a children's hospital. And that's what Rhea threatened to get her to cooperate with that marriage fiasco. Lena's definitely got a soft spot for the kids.

Exactly....so I think it is the children we see that are the driving force of her anger.

When Ruby was singing it seemed like Lena had the biggest smile, even bigger than Sam's smile. That's probably just the actors, but it does lend credence to the idea that Lena loves kids.

The look that Sam was giving her daughter made me cry, because I know what will be happening very soon.

Morgan Edge should've had a fake moustache as well like Pasdar does in Agents of SHIELD.

No, that thing looks stupid.

It looks as real as Cavill's. :o
