This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]367375[/split]
I'm not really clear on the Negative Zone giving them their powers. Does it give everyone powers who goes there? I thought the explanation in the Ultimate comics was pretty laughable. That said, an accidental Negative Zone opening/vacuum effect easily explains how Sue and Johnny are there.
I mean, obviously Dr. Doom doesn't tie into the origin. I think Mole Man, having his clay/experiment turned into living stuff, or Wizard (with his latest mental breakdown) could make for great villains who are part of the operation... and then aren't.
It's very interesting to see this discussion as it rolls out. It looks like we all kind of have our pet ideas.
So much potential in an FF series. Especially if Marvel Studios can obtain the rights.
Doom would be in the sequel but I think the Inhumans could make for an incredible story in the first one.

Yeah, but they would work in a sequel really well. The FF reboot should have about 4 movies. The first doesn't have to be an origin, but it does have to reintroduce the team and the concepts to the audience who only know of them from the previous movies (you have to assume). So while maybe no origin is shown, you have to refer to it and maybe show flashbacks and a quick origin in the credits, and sort of a synopsis of what happened to them and how they got to where they are now. That could be the entire first movie, or it could be all done in the opening credits-1st half of the movie.
The first movie should still be an amazingly fantastic adventure.
The second film could introduce the Inhumans, and I would like it to include the Kree (who are discovered to be behind the Inhumans' creation by way of experiments) and then its discovered the Celestials are behind the creation of the Kree. Movie could include Ronin the Accuser and the Supreme Intelligence. It seems like a lot but it could all be done in one grand scale movie, and have it star the FF who would be doing much more than just witnessing all this. But thats just my idea, I'd still say the Inhumans would work in a sequel no matter what the story.
Even if the story is nothing more than the FF crashing in Inhuman territory and are framed by Maximus for an assassination attempt on Blackbolt's life. Then the FF and the Inhumans fight, then team up to stop the usurper of the throne and his army of traitors. And the Inhumans would then spin off into their own movie leaving the FF to their own movies.
The other 2 films could be about anything, but should maybe have a continuing story arc like Spider-Man did with Harry. Maybe it could be how the FF are bringing mankind/Earth into a new stage of progression. Taking mankind into the stars and bringing aliens to Earth, maybe ending in the last movie FF 4, with the FF saving all of Earth and hinting at continuing adventures off camera.
Another villain the FF could find, not necessarily fight, could be the High Evolutionary.
They can travel into the Negative Zone and fight Annihilus and Blastaar.
They can travel into space and fight the Skrulls and the Super Skrull.
They can stay on Earth travel to Monster Island and fight the Mole Man and his creatures.
They can fight super scientists who might take mankind into darkness with their research/experiments/technology like the Red Ghost, Wizard, the Mad Thinker, and Diablo.
They could time travel back in time and fight Rama Tut who is revealed to be a time traveler named Scarlet Centurion.
There are so many places they can go and so many adventures to go on.
But I can see them all being grand scale and fantastic.
I think you could easily do the origin in the credits. Everyone knows what it is anyway.
Ten movies isn't enough time to get everything in IMOHmm... four movies isn't really enough time to get everything in.
^Why do people keep saying that? The general public doesn't already know, and the ones that do, they think it sucks. Ask some random people at work how the FF got their powers and see what you come up with.
Anyway, Marvel is prepping Inhumans, so they are not with Fox. They way I'd set up the Quadrilogy
Movie 1 - Alien Life Forms, Wizard on crash planet and Mole Man on Earth.
Movie 2 - Alien Life Forms, Super Skrull on Skrullos and Dr. Doom on Earth
Movie 3 - Time Travel/Alt Realities, Namor in the Past and Annihilus in the Negative Zone
Movie 4 - Cosmic Entities, Silver Surfer and Galactus on Earth
Hmm... four movies isn't really enough time to get everything in.
