I'm not a strategist, but isn't Theon being kind of dumb? The last time they killed a Stark, the entire North rose up, and attacked the rest of the kingdom. Isn't killing the two Stark boys (even though I assume it's not actually them) committing suicide? Especially since Robb already wanted to kill Theon.

Theon isn't what you'd call smart to begin with. He's a petulant child trying to play nobleman.

Evidently. Though for some reason I assumed he wasn't a complete idiot. Maybe it's an Ironborn thing.

Theon is out of control. I can only see death in his future

Wow check these two out. Almost completely unrecognizable when not in character

Theon really wants to impress his dad and show him that he should be his right hand man not his sister. hes got a big idea of pride, like when he looks at his 2nd in command, he knows he has to show them hes fearless and he will do anything to get the job done.

but when he seen the 2 bodies hanged up, you can see the doubt and sickness of what he was doing in his face. this might be his turning point.

I love the Arya/Tywin scenes. Always a joy to watch. Good episode tonight overall.
I've always thought Charles Dance is an underrated actor.

Theon is past the point of redemption. He may of not gotten treated like a prince with the Starks but its better than having to constantly do messed up stuff to prove himself to his biological family.

Kingslayer Jamie is a scumbag. All the Lannisters seem rather ruthless except Tyrion

I geeked out when Ygritte said "You know nothing, Jon Snow."

Same here :D

I was amazed to see Rickon get even a glimmer of screen time this week. Poor boy seems to just be there for show. Also, I'm not fond of the new Gregor Clegane. He doesn't seem like a "mountain" to me. He's tall, but he's not massive IMO. I'm also really growing to like Tywin. He's a Lannister and I hate pretty much all of em, but I like Tywin's attitude.

Yeah, but this is probably the last time we see Rickon for a looooong time so I'm glad he got to speak last night. Agreed about Gregor as well. This new guy looks nowhere near as intimidating as the previous actor.

I wish a full ten minutes could have been given to the Cat and Jaimie conversation, because its one of the highlights of the book.

Theon's nothing but a (sort of) Viking from a land with little to no resources, short on education and culture. He is not stupid, and knows from living in the North (even as isolated as that tends to be) that it's miles better than living on some wet, windblown rock where the major religion involves being drowned and CPRed back to life.

Theon's not a bad guy but he is very aware of his background's lacking. He is one of those guys I disliked then I got to feel sorry for and then love, like Jamie.

Ygritte is sure tempting huh Jon Snow!

Loved the exposition/scenes between Tywin and Arya, Jon and Ygritte, Cersei with Tyrion and Sansa, Jamie and Alton

Can anyone give me some context of the "you know nothing Jon Snow" line? Everyone seems to love it so much.

Same here. I really disliked him when he took Winterfell but what happens to him after kinda made up for it. I can't wait to see what Martin has planned for him in the next book.

That's going into spoiler territory but if you must know.
That is her kind of pet phrase that she keeps using to him from here on out. Whenever he questions the wildlings way of doing things it's "You know nothing, Jon Snow."

She says it all the time in the books, and it gets annoying. If show Ygritte says it once every other episode, it's fine, but not every time she speaks.

Intresting triva about the Game Of Thrones cast.

As well as having Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter Onna Chaplin in the cast former cast member Harry Lloyd who played Viserys Targaryen is the great-great-great grandson of Charles Dicken.

He knows she's from the North. He knows she's high-born. He knows she's unwilling to tell him who her father was and cryptically says he died from "loyalty." Why is she trying to hide her name? Also, even if she isn't a Stark, a high-born from the North would fetch a potentially powerful ransom and/or make a great hostage. He's getting way too close.

And yet he's done...nothing.

Could it possibly be a line the same character uses often in the book?

You like hearing "Hulk Smash" on screen after reading it in text for years?

Can't believe there's only two eps left.

Favorite arc is defintely Prince Theon's. The final scene of the burned children was

Please tell me he redeems himself later on.

You can't betray and behead your mentor, and murder two children (regardless of who they are) and redeem yourself.

Same thing goes for Jaime. You can only go so far before you go beyond the point of redemption.
