Game of Thrones - HBO part 2 - Part 7

It always amazes me how tough people in medieval societies are portrayed with all the hand cutting blood oaths. Nobody screams in pain or dies of infection from those cuts.

Maybe the paper cuts I get are worse than swords and daggers. :P

I was really impressed with how they handled Shireen, the perfect balance of hope and melancholy and I love the change that she's the one who is going to teach Davos to read.

jon snow knows how ..lol great scene

Brienne..GREAT AZZZZZZ

Robb...you made a big mistake

[FONT=Verdana, Arial]This episode honestly might have been better than last week, if at all possible, and would definitely fall in my top 5 episodes of this series.

So many great moments:

Brienne/Jaime in the Bath
Beric/Hound Fight
Thoros/Beric/Arya conversation
Tywin laying the smackdown on Tyrion and Cersei
Ygritte/jon snow scene.
Stannis Daughter teaching Davos to read.
Robb delivering justice to Lord Karstark.

I lawled at the [blackout]Robb beheading Karstark[/blackout] scene. It mirrored the scene of Theon beheading Ser Rodrik, but whereas it took one strike for Robb, it took like five for Theon. :funny:

Greyjoy scum. :o
It was meant to be a callback since they used the same music, which doesn't really make sense in context because it's Theon's theme.

I suppose that just once she'd like to marry a guy who actually wants to **** her.

She could always marry Salladhor Saan. He wanted to **** her.

Perhaps a reflection that Robb is making the same sort of shortsighted decisions that Theon did?

I'm going to start watching this soon. Heard a lot of great things and always interested in fantasy based stuff. I hardly watch any TV so hopefully this lives up to the hype!

Better late then never...Its not like LOTR fantasy though. Think of it as a political fantasy drama, focusing on the people more so the fantasy elements.

Haven't seen the newest episode yet (first thing I'll do when I get home from work), so I can't comment on it. But on a different note, has anyone heard a solid release date or anything for the Season 3 soundtrack? It looks like S1 & 2's came out around June, I'm assuming we can expect the same but I was just wondering if anyone heard anything solid yet for S3's (love the first 2 soundtracks, Ramin Djawadi rocks! and I'm expecting to love the 3rd as well)

Id like to know too because the episode prior to this with Dany's epic ending had that season 1 finale theme but a different version

The first two came out the Tuesday after the season finale aired, so I'd expect the same pattern here.

Yeah, got that impression. Not enough magic & wild rampaging beasts! Well nothing's perfect! :woot:

Looking forward to it a lot, especially as I'll be able to watch everything so far in one go without waiting in between. It'll be the 1st TV series I've caught up on since Lost. Only the 2nd in about 10 years!

You know, it's amazing how much I hate Tywin when he's being a *****e to Tyrion and how much I love him when he's being a *****e to Cersei.

So. How bout that Beric Dondarrion?

"Ser Clegane. I apologize for calling your wife a bloated warthog, and I bid you good day."

I think this episode had more nudity than any other this season. Jon, Ygritte, Jaime, Brienne, Loras, Loras' new friend who's working for Petyr. So how many gentlemen does that make who've gotten their bits on screen? Three? Four?

I hate what Tywin decided for Tyrion, but I'm glad he gave Cersei a taste of some humble pie and wiped that smirk off her face.

I actually like Tywin even when his being a jerk.

I wonder if Charles Dance and Patrick Stewart have ever done a film, tv show o play together? It would be amazing to see those guys acting together.

I loved seeking Roose Bolton troll Jamie about his sister in kings landing.

I don't really get why Cersei is so upset, considering what her life has been like so far. From the sounds of things High Garden is the nicest place in Westeros. Especially with "wintur" coming. And Loras wouldn't exactly force himself upon her. Hell, she could probably take Tommen with her. Is she really going to miss Joffrey? He can always come visit, if she starts missing his angry outbursts.

She wants power, and sending her to Highgarden takes what little power she has or wants to attain away, probably for good. She was already forced into one loveless marriage, Tywin is forcing her into another one. She loses everything with this marriage, it's devastating for her.

It's Westeros, there have been more extreme age differences. :o

She was promised to some older Tyrell, one they are not bothering us with, but I am sure the end result will be the same.

It was the same Tyrell that Sansa was being set up with, who had the bad leg. Loras joined the Kingsguard in the books, so he couldn't marry.

I only remember it because Cersei had joked about the Tyrells wanting to marry Sansa off to a cripple. Then when Tywin told Cersei that she was going to marry him instead and she was completely incensed about it, Tyrion reminded her, "That's the cripple." :funny:
