I just loved the moment she started shooting off Valyrian. You could practically hear the slave master ****ting his pants in terror.

With Dany, I think it's a combination of the character being more placed in a position of power as well as her rocking her new blue pimp cloak of pimpness. Indeed, in Season 1, she was first sold off to and then dependent on Drogo. And in Season 2, her Khalisar was in ruins and she had to resort to begging to survive; whereupon she was played as a pawn. In contrast, Season 3 has her negotiating to buy herself an army and then taking out a whole city after tricking the slave masters.

Speaking of her little stunt... Much as when I first read the book, I can't help but feel that it was a stupid thing she did. Sure, she got to keep her dragons and gain a huge Unsullied army. However, it also sent the message to her potential allies that she is someone who is not to be trusted. She will not necessarily honour her end of a bargain and she will turn on your at a whim if she feels like it.

Treachery and cunning are the currency of Essos. If she had pulled that stunt in Westeros she probably would have killed her public image and only been followed thereafter due to fear or respect depending on the person. In Essos, however, that was just smart negotiating on her part.

Really? I get that Essos is a much harsher land than Westeros. However, with trade being such an important part of its economy, I would have thought a certain code of conduct would be expected when conducting business; namely that the buyer would at the very least not immediately try killing you with the weapons you just sold him.

Even if that's not the case, Dany still intends to re-conquer Westeros, no? And in order to do that she will likely need some measure of support on the continent.

Cat released Jaime a while ago. Having him do that now would be kind of out of nowhere. I'm thinking they might make him part of the Red Wedding betrayal, instead. I guess there's still Roose Bolton, but I just don't see what would suddenly motivate Karstark this long after Jaime's release.

Maybe because that all he talks about in almost every scene he's in
