this is the episode I have not been looking forward too I don't see how episode 10 can end on a positive note

Can somebody answer a small question for me about a certain character? In spoiler tags of course. I just wanna know if Gendry (sp?) is still alive in the books currently and if he ends up playing a much bigger role in upcoming parts of the story. I dunno, I just really like the character. He's one I'm really rooting for, he seems really honorable and kindhearted

Im surprised they not released a 2nd trailer for episode 9,if I recall correctly we got 2 trailers for Blackwater last season.

He's still alive, but he hasn't really done much of note in the recent books.

In the show, though, they've combined him with another of Robert's bastards. In the books it seems like Gendry is fairly insignificant, but the other bastard seems more important. But as of now, he hasn't done anything too huge, either.

wow some of those songs don't sound the way i expected.

Reek and The Lannisters send their regards (which I expected would be a new version of the Rains of Castamere in a
dreadful sounding way, given the events.

Reek I also expected to be more dreadful sounding... its really upbeat and fast.

just was surprised clicking the samples.

I imagine "Lannisters" will start fast as things begin to turn and then become slow and funereal.

At least, that's what I hope. One event in particular will have to be slow.

thats what I was thinking too... not sure what to make of Reek though.

its just samples so I am being nit picky. Tomorrow is going to be such a long day. :cmad:

Isn't that the song that plays while Theon "escapes" on horseback? I need to rewatch the first few episodes to be sure.

At least you don't have to work. I'll have to watch the day after. :argh:

Ha, you have me there. As cool as Oberyn is he doesnt have two Gods on his side.

What do you mean by this? Gah, i am anxious to meet this Victarion you guys all speak of, any chance a little tease what kind of a man he is? Spoiler tagging please, don't tell me what he does, just what he is. :csad::yay::oldrazz:

Victarion is a hard man. Built for war. He's only at home on the deck of a ship, axe in hand and his enemy before him. He's an Iron Born in every sense of the word and is a strong believer of paying the Iron Price...taking what he wants rather than bargaining and bribing like the greedy men of the mainlands. Unlike his brothers Victarion has a sort of nobility to him, by Iron Born standards anyway, he respects bravery and always treats his foes with respect and loathes uneeded cruelty. When he goes to war it's like an old testament god at work, he becomes a wrecking ball of destruction, casually wreacking havok on those in his way. He's also a godly man, though a tad different from the rest of House Greyjoy in that he comes to worships 2 Gods. I won't go into anymore specific but his dual belief becomes an important point. He's essentially GRRM's version of Conan the Barbarian.

Call me crazy, but I got none of that when reading the books. I know there were many things mentioned, and the future is bound to give him some good stuff, but I don't really remember him actually doing a whole lot in the books. Maybe I just checked out during a lot of the Iron Born chapters.

Meh. After looking it up, I was mixing up Euron and Victarion. Still, though, the only real badass thing I remember him doing [blackout]was just flat out catching a sword swinging at his head by hand.[/blackout] Other than that, I don't remember anything significant. I wouldn't really consider [blackout]killing his wife[/blackout] badass.

Tonight the game will be changed...
