I keep hoping that once Jaime and Brienne show up at KL, Tyrion will decide to help Sansa escape. I have this image in my mind of the season ending with Sansa, Tyrion, Bronn, Podrick, Shae, Brienne, and Jaime (who's like "screw it, I'm coming too") all hitting the road together and heading for Riverrun with the Gold Cloaks in hot pursuit. Probably too optimistic for this show, but I can dream.

Last year they had less than good ratings when they aired Episode 9 on Memorial Day. So they don't wanna air it again on that day.
last yr they got a 3.8 for blackwater episode 9 that's not less than good for hbo.people would have tuned in I had to watch revenge of the sith because no thrones on.if they were scared of ratings they wouldn't have shown the Michael douglas flick that night either

Well regardless of Blackwater's ratings HBO obviously thought they could have done better, hence this week's skip.

Well, those ratings weren't as good as the other episodes, so by HBO's standards, it wasn't good. Also, I think people come back from holiday when the latest episode will air so it's even better that it got delayed by 2 weeks. Dunno about what they showed instead, though.

"Poison is for cravens, women and Dornishmen."

Pycelle says that in the show, right? I remember hearing something like that.

It was best they didn't show it. People were on vacation and partying that weekend. Its the unofficial start of summer in the US. People aren't thinking about a television show when they could be out getting liquored up and/or laid.

Yeah, good point. And I suppose they learnt from that in Season 2's Episode 9.

Especially since Ep 9 of a season is traditionally the "Major Event" episode. Perhaps it's best to give audiences time to sober up and prepare.

Yeah, given the events in episode 9 the week between episoded 9&10 will feel longer than this break did.

I actually didn't mind the break because I went away over the weekend, so I would have missed it anyway had it aired.

I have no doubt the song will be recognized. I just wonder if people will connect it to the Lannisters right away. It's kind of popped up all over the place, in the show.

I never read the book, but can't they do something like: The music plays and Robb or Cat mutters "why are they playing the Lannister song?" Or something

Hoping that awesome track when Daenerys kills the master is in there. It's probably Dracarys.
