HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!! THE SOUNDTRACK FOR SEASON 3 IS JUST PHENOMENAL!!!

Tracks ''A Lannister Always Pays His Debts'' , ''Dark Wings, Dark Words'' and ''Mhysa'' are the best music ever made for TV!

eager to here Mhysa, link?

Ygritte's look turned to murderous rage though in the end, unlike Jorah. :oldrazz: I wouldn't be surprised if she does try to kill him next time they meet. She always struck me as a good person, but one with a psychotic edge. I mean that line to Jon about "we" (rather than Jon's use of "you all") will die was quite sinister. Not so much the line, but the look in her eyes, one that said to me "I'll kill you myself if you do betray me."

:lmao:

Its time for some Lannisters to be killed off. Since the series started, they've killed off 5 Starks (Im counting Robb's unborn heir). Im going to need Jon to get some vengeance for what they've done to his family

Jon's a little busy with other, important things. (see: last two seasons)

[BLACKOUT]Joffery's death[/BLACKOUT] seems to be the perfect season finale, IMO. It's a massive event, one that affects the plot for every character, even more so than the Red Wedding. We don't have enough time, IMO to try and tackle the [BLACKOUT]Wall siege [/BLACKOUT], especially since we need to see repercussions of a [BLACKOUT]Jon and Sam returning to the wall, Dany discovering the traitors in her camp,[/BLACKOUT] as well as the aftermath of the Red Wedding; and I'd rather we not get into a pattern of ending the seasons with big battles.

I say, we deal with the next wedding and see what happens with Jon, Sam, and Dany's stories. We can close the season with a montage (gonna have a montage!) of:

Joffery drinking the poison, the court exploding into disarray as he dies while Ceresi balls her eyes out (in stark contrast to Cat's stone faced greeting of death). Show all this while cutting back and forth with the Knights Watch fighting a small first wave of wildlings (being sure to show Ygritte's death). The season can end with the Knights Watch thinking they've won the day, only to peer over the wall and see a massive force of wildlings with mammoths and giants approaching. This will make sure fans come back for more next season to find out who killed Joffery and to see if Jon and the watch can survive the coming battle.

Has there been sufficient build-up to

Joffrey's poisoning. I read about who did it, and I haven't seen any foreshadowing on behalf of the poisoner. No sentiments or veiled words indicating his/her plans. Also, would Mance be leading those mammoths and giants? I've been wondering where he went after...what? Episode 2 or 3?

Heh. I was surprised he didn't snatch her up as he was leaving.

I was more surprised by the fact that none of the wildlings took notice of the goddamn direwolf that had just come out of nowhere and attacked one of their own.

After this episode? I think the Lannisters are just too powerful to be destroyed anyone else but themselves really. Tywin is too cunning and strategic, so someone foolish like Joffrey would order him to get killed off or something, then we got Tyrion and his daddy issues and Cercei craving her brother. I know the audience wants to see the Starks rise, but man, i have given up on that after this episode.

Or perhaps the King Conan of this show Victarion Greyjoy will slay them all, yaaargh! :woot:

Seems like the three stooges--Varys, Littlefinger, Pycelle--could wipe out the Lannisters if they really wanted to.

Man, I knew what was coming with Robb as someone spoiled it for me on here a while back but that was still brutal and shocking, and I watched the episode last night, its just taken this long to sink in.

I have heard a few people say things get even darker, but god damn the good guys are due a win.

In the book
there is no "build up". It just happens and no one has a clue who poisoned him, which is what's great about it. But there HAVE been hints in the show. Very subtle, but hints none the less - one of those things that you wouldn't think twice about until you discover who did it.

Mance does lead the attack against the wall.

I'm honestly disappointed with how they've treated Mance in the show. They got a great actor to play the part, but they've done very little with him. They also failed to include a pretty important visual aspect of him - his red cloak. When he was a member of the Night's Watch, he was attacked by a bear while ranging and a wildling saved him and nursed him back to health. His black Night's Watch cloak was torn to shreds by the bear, and the wildling repaired it with strips of red fabric. When he returned to the Wall, he was ordered to toss away the red cloak and replace it with a black one. That was when he left the Watch and became the leader of the wildlings. He wears the red cloak as a symbol of the freedoms he has since leaving the Wall.

NOT seeing him wearing his torn black cloak with strips of red (or at least even mentioning it for character motivation) was a mistake on the shows part, I feel.

I think Daenerys is a threat, especially once those dragons grow to fullsize. She's actually my personal pick to be the victor in the Game of Thrones.

Plus, the Lannisters are not exactly united. Tywin dies (and he's not young) and that faction could easily break into civil war. The Tyrells are quite capable of doing some damage as well. Margaery is playing Joffrey like a fiddle right now. This might be the best position the Lannisters have been in since Joffrey foolishly executed Ned, but their hold on the Iron Throne is still rather tenuous.

Come on, man. Spoiler-tag that ****. Didn't need to read that.

I think they meant "If Tywin dies, then ____"
