Game of Thrones - HBO part 2 - Part 8

Quick question: The last time the Walkers invaded, before the wall, I'm guessing Wildfyre hadn't been invented yet. Right?

Maybe. Although, I'm not sure if anyone would think it's a great idea to have a whole lot of that stuff on or near a wall made entirely out of ice.

That's not the only thing Sam still has. If you go back to Season 2 there is another item in that satchel of dragon glass that is very important. The show hasn't really gotten into it yet though. However I'm glad it's there.

Are you talking about
the horn? I was under the impression that there was nothing special about it. Or at least that it's broken, and useless at this point. There was a point when I was reading the books that I thought it was the one Mance was looking for, but then there was something that made me think otherwise. I don't remember what, though.

^^
Wine doesn't contain enough alcohol to properly clean water.

I was thinking : Shae needs to relax about Tyrion and the marriage and she should understand that he has no choice in the matter. She was a ****e after all and Tyrion treats her very well and is genuinely in love with her.

Really, why?

Rereads Grade 2 science textbook.

Ah, right.

As Confucius said, "'dem concubines be crazy!"

Yes.
This probably belongs in the book thread but
I believe it all ties into the missing Benjen theory and why all of a sudden Jaquen H'ghar changes directions to go to Old Town instead of the Wall. I think it is the horn of winter.

Melisandre and Khaleesi damn that was some goooooooooooooood watching!

Cersei threatening margaery.. it was so AWESOME

my friend she was screaming... "hey fatboy..pick up that weapon..u dumb fatboy"

Is it wrong that I thoroughly love every scene of Theon getting tortured? I can't stand that guy.

You're not alone. Thinking back to of all the **** he did last season...i'm loving every second of it.

Not sure if this has been posted but it is pretty funny:

I get such pleasure from watching the imp hit the gimp. There really is no cure for being a ****.

I assume you're talking about a horn thingy. Cool.

Is it just me or did Sam leave his dragonglass blade behind in the snow? Because that would be really stupid....

Yes he did. He learned courage, don't ask too much of him, he can't be courageous AND wise at the same time :)
The Hound starts to be likable.
I expected a battle between the Unsullied and the Second Sons but the conflict was resolved by the flash of a boob.

Probably my favourite Tyrion centric episode, Dinklage absolutely nailed it every time he had to. The wooden cock moment in particular should go down as one of the show's most iconic moments.

Joffrey is priming himself for some real despicable act that is going to effect Tyrion but I don't think it'll be Sansa who falls in the firing line; it'll be Shea.

I still think things are going just a little bit perfectly for Dany, the **** has to hit the fan for her in some manner before the season is over.

Exactly how the Suez Crisis was resolved. Dwight Eisenhower walked in and saw Guy Mollet taking a bubble bath and, well, we all know the rest of the story ...

There is definitely a battle with Dany's army this season. In the trailers for the season you could see Jorah in armor and fighting with a sword at night in a city. Looks like the army will sack a city or defend it.

Marvolo, you got owned by Sam who literally stabbed you behind your back :p

:pal:

Speaking of the North, White Walkers and the Wall, Mance hasn't appeared on the show since the first or second episode, right?

He was briefly in the second episode I believe. But that's about it. He hasn't been around all that much.

Yeah, that's basically how I remembered it too. I liked his first appearance, liked Ciaran Hinds in the role and was hoping to see more of him. But I believe that's forthcoming.

Lol when that happened I was like "**** yeah!" Then I remembered it was me.:cmad: Not sure I like Sam much anymore. :p

I can't believe they killed that particular white walker off. I figured it'd be a grunt. Now my avatar shall stand in memorial.

Were White Walkers ever human? I was looking on a wiki, and
someone Bran meets later reminds me of the Walker that Sam killed.

I was rewatching Season 2...I think Talisa is a traitor.

Might want to spoiler that. But
It hasn't been revealed what exactly they are or their motivations. The dude Bran meets actually was a real person at one point.

:hehe: You know, I bet you regret not killing him & seeing him as no threat in Season 2 finale.

I don't think we're talking about the same guy, but I didn't want to name him outright. So now I will. Don't open this unless you want THE SHOW RUINED

I was referring to the greenseer, not old Coldhands

Oh you have no idea. He would have made a wonderful centerpiece for my slaughtered horse art.

White Walkers aren't humans, they're basically ice demons. For that other character, look up theories on the Three-Eyed crow if you've read A Dance with Dragons.
