i've completely blanked out on this...But why does Bran want to go find that 3 eyed raven? or go beyond the wall?

In the show, they just show the raven. But in the book, the raven speaks to him. It tells him he can't die because winter is coming and that he's the winged-wolf in chains and meant to fly.

Major book spoilers.

(spoiler stuff)

I wonder if 1 is even going to happen, though. Shae in the books was much less of a fleshed out character than she is here, and certainly was not in any kind of romantic relationship w/Tyrion. She's a lot more committed to Tyrion here (to the point of making him feel guilty about his arranged marriage to Sansa).

1.Shae is working for Tywin. Tyrion comes into Tywin's room to kill him and finds Shae in his bed. Tyrion strangles her to death.

2. Jon is assassinated by his own men because they feel he is derelict in his duties to the Watch. He makes a lot of controversial decisions leading up to it. They do to him what the Senate did to Caesar. Surround him and stab him to death.

Dude, FFS stop posting spoilers about the rest of the series. Spoiler tag or not, it's getting annoying and you need to control yourself. If people want answers, they can go read the book thread

I get the feeling that bit will play out different in the show. The character in the book like you say is very different to the one in the show. Personally I would welcome that change. It just felt like Martin was heaping on the misery at that point.

My female friend who loves Robb and wants to be Talisa is just text messaging me "Ah so THAT is how he's getting back at Robb, making the bride beautiful" ... I didn't reply. I expect a phone call very shortly.

I kinda want that dude who plays Roose Bolton to play a supervillain now. He has that whole "voice of doom" thing going on.

Same here. I really like the actor who's playing him, but want the character to die a horrible, gruesome death. :o

Ok first of all he asked and this was an ongoing conversation. Second of all, they are tagged and labeled in bright warning words as to what they pertain. You can't see them unless you click on them. There is absolutely not a thing outside of the tags that can hint or reveal anything whatsoever. Your annoyance is unwarranted unless you are just annoyed that you can't participate in a conversation not directed at you in the first place. People don't go the book thread because no one is in the book thread. The discussion is here so they come here. Once again we come back to the fact we need a spoiler thread for the series in the tv forum where people frequent.

thats right...completely unusual storyline. So much work to help a disabled boy out about his abilities and risk your life while your at it.

Fair to say the least interesting part of GOT in the show thus far?

I was hoping they would speed Bran's story up in the show, but they haven't really done it. Its pondering along just like in the books.

I didn't see anyone post anything that needed ADWD spoilers posted. Until there is a separate thread for book readers, then we should do our best to keep this as spoiler free as possible but you have incredibly poor self-control when it comes to this.

Well go back a couple pages and follow the conversation and maybe youll get it. It was a discussion me and Mjolnir were having with rogue_agent about the tone of the show and the amount of good verus bad events yet to come. Mjolnir pointed out good events I pointed out bad then another poster asked about two specific events i mentioned to which i responded. If you want to ram into a conversation get the context and follow it before getting a hothead. Those spoiler tags can not magically reveal their contents and no non book viewers have anything to fear from what I posted.

I knew what was gonna happen in this episode, but it's still ****ing shocking. Good God.

Holy sh**, so that's what all the fuss was about. Love it.

didnt read any of the books... so my reaction was like "WHAT THE §$%§.. did that just happen ? " ^^

Few moire questions:
Does Jon Snow dies in this third book or in the next?
And Does Tyrion kills his father the same time he kills Shae? I know that he will kill Taywin, I just don't know when.

i think many people thought we were in the Star Wars portion of GOT...where the heroes start to win....when we were really still in the Revenge of the Sith/ everyone dies portion of the story

Damn Walder Frey, i hope that **** gets a painful death.

The red wedding segment was as brilliant TV as it was horrible in-universe.

And Jon Snow riding away, leaving Ygritte behind, broke my heart! He truly knows nothing... :argh:

Watched the episode a few hours ago. Wow. I didn't think they would go that far. But then again this is Game of Thrones. Martin doesn't follow the conventional storytelling that we are so used to.

I finished the second book last week and wanted to take a break before reading the third. After this episode I want to dive straight into book three now.

The accelerating reactions to GOT deaths:

Viserys: HAHAHAHAHA!!! Dick. :o
Robert: Eh. Who's gonna miss him?
Ned:  Well.... that kind of hurts.
Drogo: :waa:
Robb/Talisa/Catelyn: **** ME, I CAN'T HANDLE THIS ****!!! *cries and vomits simultaneously*
