if stannis would have let robb rule the north they could have combined and took kings landing robb didn't want to sit on the iron throne just like ned did with robert

It didn't really strike me the first time I heard it during S2, but the Rains of Castamere will forever be some of the most sinister, dark music I ever hear.... **** just oozes bad feelings.

Jaime's version of Castamere that played after he saved Brienne is fairly heroic sounding.

I think if Ned was told to take the black he would've never held to it. His honor would've made him join Stannis. This whole series is about screwups from one person to the next. Ned should've told Robert first about his lillegitimate children. And when he told Cersei first, Renley told him what would happen. He told him to summon all the city watch or whatever. Ned had two opportunities to fix the mess and messed up both times. Renley was the smartest one around and knew Ned was out of his league among the liars and schemers at Kings Landing. And yes, Robb should've never sent Theon to the Iron Islands. I think with Theon by his side he would've made better decisions.

'What's it like guarding the door while your King eats and drinks and s**** and f****.'

I miss Robert.

"Somebody start the damn joust before I piss me-self."

"Your mother was a dumb ****e with a fat arse, did you know that? Look at this idiot, one ball and no brains. Can't even put a man's armor on properly."

I hope he found Khal Drogo in the afterlife and they became bros.

Just watched the past ep....felt sorry for Arya the most...:(

The 'X' that was on the chess board when Rob and his mom were talking; did that represent Theon?

It's not a spoiler, as the sigil is shown on the character/mentioned plenty of times, but if for some reason you're cautious, I put t in tags.

It is The Flayed Man, the sigil of House Bolton. Roose Bolton was a banner man of Robb Stark before betraying him. He was the one who gave Cat the smirk when she discovered his chain mail just before the start of the red wedding.

Drogo: Man, why you gotta send assassins after my wife like that?

Robert: I'm telling you, man, it was just a whole big misunderstanding. You'll come around. Ask Ned, I called it off. Ned, tell Drogo--

Ned: In case you haven't noticed, your grace, the living that we left behind are having kind of a hard time...

Robert: Ah, **** 'em all, Ned, don't be such a sourpuss. By the way, Drogo, do you happen to know where I could find Ned's sister, Lyanna?

Drogo: She's got a castle with Rhaegar Targaryen, the Moon of my Life's brother.

Robert:  ... you ****ing kidding me? NED!!!!

it is a spoiler for people who don't connect the dots...
still not revealed that Roose Boltons bastard is the one torturing Theon. just didn't want to spoil that fun little connection for anyone

however, it is kind of obvious at times.

I would like to see a prequel film of Roberts rebelion

Yes, however there's so little information there that it can easily be assumed (until the reveal) that his bastard is merely a psycho working for him. There's no mention of him prior and very little screen time given to Roose that the reveal isn't a very big deal. But i put in spoliers anyway. In any case, simply knowing who the sigil belongs to is not a spoiler, especially considering they display it front and center on Roose's chest.

Just being cautious. Tend to see a bunch of complaints of spoilers even when they aren't really spoilers or they are in spoiler tags. :hehe:

[BLACKOUT]I think that the purple wedding will be one of the biggest cheering moments for viewers in the show that far, despite who it gets pinned on. Jon becoming LC will also make some pretty happy. Regarding Lady Stoneheart I think it's deliberate misdirection. Michelle wasn't the only one leaving here and they can't really have filmed together much at all since King's Landing is Croatia and everything Catelyn has been in was Northern Ireland.[/BLACKOUT]

It's also possible Headey hasn't read the books. GRRM told a story about a cast member coming up to him during a party and saying something like, "Please don't kill my character", and George just had to bite his tongue because he already had.

I do have some questions for you:
[BLACKOUT]1. How does Shae betray Tyrion?
2. Jon's Assassination? You mean that he is killed? [/BLACKOUT]

Major book spoilers.

1.Shae is working for Tywin. Tyrion comes into Tywin's room to kill him and finds Shae in his bed. Tyrion strangles her to death.

2. Jon is assassinated by his own men because they feel he is derelict in his duties to the Watch. He makes a lot of controversial decisions leading up to it. They do to him what the Senate did to Caesar. Surround him and stab him to death.

BOOK SPOILERS!!! You know the drill. DON'T READ, YADDA YADDA YADDA!!!

I really think they'll handle Shea a bit differently, on the show. I read the books after I had seen the first two seasons, so Shea's character in the series effected how I read her character in the books. So I read her "betrayal" as something Tywin forced her to do. I'm thinking she'll disappear, and take the place of Tyrion's wife in the books as the "****e" he's forever searching for.

As far as Jon goes, maybe I'm in denial, but I just don't believe he's dead. GRRM has pulled the death fake out too many times for me to buy into it. Anything short of decapitation isn't a sure thing, as far as I'm concerned. Hell, according to some theories, even that isn't completely reliable if Qyburn is involved.

I wonder if 1 is even going to happen, though. Shae in the books was much less of a fleshed out character than she is here, and certainly was not in any kind of romantic relationship w/Tyrion. She's a lot more committed to Tyrion here (to the point of making him feel guilty about his arranged marriage to Sansa).

As I said above, I agree with this.

I kept hearing about this "red wedding" thing since the start of the show and for some reason i kept associating that with sansa and her presumed wedding to joffrey. So i always kept bracing myself for that event happening to her.

Hell i didn't even realize this was the red wedding until i got online haha. So yeah it was a surprise but in a different way for me.

The reaction vids on YouTube are amazing. Makes me want to start watching with a group of friends.

The same with me, once people started getting their throats cut I thought "oh, THIS is the Red Wedding."

Yeah i just assumed this whole "red wedding" thing had to reference one of the main characters weddings. The fact it was at a side-characters wedding that through things off so i didn't put two and two together at that point.

I thought something big was gonna happen at tyrion's and sansa's wedding.

Lets be real here... Catelyn did Walder's wife a favor. :o

I don't know i almost feel guilty for not being as distraught as some of the other got fans? I figured rob was a gonner since he came up with his plan to attack casterly rock so i was always bracing for rob's death this season, even though the time and place came as a surprise.

I never had a huge attachment to rob's wife as a character and even caitlyn who i liked wasn't one of my favorit characters. I just didn't get that gutteral reaction some fans apparently have. I know it was brutal but i feel if it was at the expense of characters i cared more about it would have hit me harder?

I can't help but wonder what significance this scene will have in the long run. With... you know.

my reasoning was wedding + Red Keep = Red Wedding

Okay so did frey really do all that just to get revenge for rob's snub of his daughters? It just seemed like such overkill (no pun).

Were we supposed to assume at this point he fully went over into the lannister camp due to that snub?

I don't think so. Frey knew that Robb's cause was hopeless. This way he get's to rule the Riverlands and get revenge.

Two birds, one stone.
