Yeah it seems like this Green Arrow isn't above killing people. Maybe it will play out in the series someway, like inspire him to develop trick arrows to avoid actually murdering anyone.

I liked the the part that showed Stephen's parkour skills and the tech based arrow.

I guess this will be better than Smallville's Green Arrow. :)

The new trailer is awesome, this show is definitely top of my list for the fall. I personally am not a long time fan of the character so him killing a few scumbags that try to kill him doesn't bother me.

Sombody over at CBM caught this:

Guess who?

The mask looks perfect! I wonder if our first look at Deathstroke will be him hunting Ollie on the island, and if he is the one responsible for the scars, burns and broken bones mentioned in the trailer.

I rather DS be the big bad for the first 2 seasons. I hope they would do him justice. I hated that deadpool didnt wear a mask and deathstroke in smallville also didnt wear a mask.

The new trailer got me interested in this!

..and Deathstroke! one of my fav character from DC!

Hopefully we'll get a proper Slade Wilson this time, and not that abomination that showed up on Smallville a while ago!

The new trailer is interesting and I will definately be watching, but this is no Oliver Queen.

I'm not really a GA fan, actually. The only GA comics that i've read was a looong time ago, the Mike Grell's run..the Longbow hunters, which i thought was excellent!

So i wouldn't really know if this would be faithfull to the current GA. But one thing for sure, these trailers got me interested in this!

Current GA sucks donkeybutt. So this is a big step up. :yay:

Really? i was actually thinking of giving the series a try, since it marked the return of Ann Nocenti...

Good lord, no! Leave it well alone. She may have been big bucks back when she created Typhoid Mary, but what she's done with Ollie so far (ignoring the awful, awful reimagining DC has done with him in general in the relaunch) is just plain terrible. The writing jumps all over the place and butchers anything of the character, and the art is sketchy, ugly and also jumps all over the place (sometimes I swear it seems like some pages must be missing).

I'm praying this show will draw in enough viewers that many will want to read the source material, thereby forcing DC to switch up GA to almost match it (sans killing as that's still a general no-no for heroes in comics whatever anyone says here about scumbag kills being a-okay). They did it for Lois and Clark marrying on TV,and Marvel did it for Spidey maybe the same will happen here.

This definitely looks like a much improved origin compared to the comics.

Couldn't be happier that they're making an effort to take this seriously.

I'm quite excited about this! I can't recall the last time I was actually hyped about a live-action superhero series! Probably not since The Flash and Superboy in the early 90's, I kid you not!

A suggestion on Twitter via @GreenArrowTV of Stephen Lang as Deathstroke - possibly one of the best casting suggestions I've ever heard, especially if he was sporting the bearded look of his Terra Nova Commander character

How's it different from Green Arrow Year One?

I really wish they could just say "Green Arrow", and "Star City". Why on earth would they change it? I hate the tip-toeing thing, like they did for almost all of Smallville. I hope he does get kinda quippy later on, but I can kinda see now why he isn't.

Because people already have a hard enough time not mixing up Green Lantern and Green Hornet.

I don't mind the name change. I'm just hoping this is a good show in general.

According to TV Line, Warner Bros. TV is holding pilot screenings at SDCC on July 11. Arrow is going to be one of them.

 By that logic, they should change the new film to "Trek", because there's too much confusion between Star Wars and Star Trek between non-fans. Or they should just change Spiderman, Iron Man, Batman, or Superman because there's just no way to tell those guys apart. By that logic, there should never have been reboots for Hulk or Spider-man, and it's raising hell to have recast Rhodey in Iron Man 2, or Rachel Dawes in the Dark Knight. That's just waaaaaaay too confusing.

I can understand the title change, but why change his name in the series? And especially why change the name of Star City, because that excuse doesn't work for both.

It's not the end of the world, and this isn't fanboy rage. But why go through the trouble of getting so much right, and then make one fundamental change like his name? And if that's the reasoning, that's just insulting, to assume your audience isn't smart enough to differentiate similarly colored guys. In fact, that's borderline racist :o!

It is fanboy rage.

The changes are made to distinguish ARROW as it's own thing and seperate from anything that came before.

We knew this from the get-go. This is a real-world re-imaginging of the comics character.

In fact, if this concept is good.. I hope the comics change and adapt to reflect this show. The New 52 GA sucks.

I don't know if I'm a fan of calling him just "Arrow". I always liked the Green Arrow name better.

Yeah I don't mind the show just being called Arrow but he should be called Green Arrow at least.

Green arrow , arrow I don't see much of a diiference. On the other hand Starling city compared to star city, Starling actually sounds like a real city while star city is sounds like a roller disco.

Mah tv show proposal

The Dark Knight Supremacy Beginsville: Grittier Edition

After floating in the water unconscious, Jason Bourne Oliver Queen goes on a soul searching journey (tv budget yooo), because of his parent's dad's unjust died. He gets mentored and trained by Henri Ducard Deathstroke. After a falling out with Ducard Deathstroke, he returns to western civilization ready to be a symbol for Gotham Starling City :cmad:. Because he is a badass now.

His symbol? Bat Arrow :batty:

But in order to hide his awesomeness he pretends to be Playboy Bruce Oliver. We also learn Gotham Starling City is still utterly ****** (and gritty). And lots of **** goes down.

Treadstone Secret Uber Cabal of Badguys starts hunting Jason Bourne Oliver Queen. Great excuse to showcase Le Parkour and shakey cam.

Has an unofficial alliance with Lt. Gordon Detective Quentin Lance.

Bruce Wayne Oliver Queen tries to reconcile with the young idealistic assistant DA Rachel Dawes Dinah Lance. He will be an ******* to push her away from his dangerous lifestyle. Since chicks dig jerks, she will totally ignore all his god damn warnings, and fall in love with him. He will try to keep his secret from her, and completely and utterly fail.

Fight a poor man's Kingpin some skinny bald badguy as his first freak badguy of the week.

His best friend will become his arch nemesis Lex Luthor Merlyn

Take the love drama of Smallville, humor of Batman Begins and Shakey Cam of the Bourne series, we got ourselves Arrow :wow:

Do you think WB will pickup my show :woot:

If this show had anything close to the 'love drama' of Smallville.. I'll stop watching it.

The only thing that concerns me about Arrow is Laurel Lance and her storyline. It's going to be a challenging one to do, especially writing that her and Oliver have a romantic past.

That "my boyfriend screwed my sister" dialogue was the only part of the trailer that REALLY didn't fit. It felt like it was ripped out of another CW drama.
