Hans Zimmer Scoring The Man of Steel - Part 1

Sounds both epic and emotional at the same time. It's radically different from the music of the previous Superman movies, and that's a good thing.

Sounds very good, and there feels like a clear identity. And thankfully far from generic.

'Oil Rig' isn't playing around in terms of drum ferocity. 'Ignition' is pretty hard in that regard too.
'Goodbye My Son' is definitely an emotional one with the background choir.
'If You Love These People' is sounding nice and dramatic - same with 'Launch'.
'Look to the Stars' and 'Krypton's Last' have a nice Inceptiony feel to them.

It's annoying we can't access those other tracks. I really want to hear 'Flight'.

Also, these are the ones that remind me of ME/Blade Runner the most.

not everyone likes Zimmer. i understand if some will have a problem with the guitar and drums.

"DNA" has some Pirates to it.

"Goodbye My Son" reminds me of Doctor Who.

There is some Blade Runner here and there.

"Generic" comment will pop up. Soon.
Let them be fools then.

So we have yet to hear these:

Terraforming
This is Clark Kent
I Have So Many Questions
Flight
What are You Going to Do When You are Not Saving the World?

And the Deluxe edition tracks:

Are You Listening, Clark?
General Zod
You Led Us Here
This Is Madness
Earth
Arcade

I have a question about these deluxe tracks, why are they on the deluxe version only and not on the main soundtrack? Is it because of time constraints of the disc or because they won't be in the movie? I would think tracks such as General Zod and You Led Us Here would be pretty important in the context of the film!

Call me crazy, but I do get faint Broken Arrow vibes from the last track.

Someone help me out - where are we hearing this?

Probably to siphon more money for the deluxe version, as i recall all the extra tracks from TDKR were used in the film, it's likely these will be used too.

Yeah a lot of it sounds very inceptiony but people say that about a lot of scores.

Honestly i was about to write the ones that stand out, but they all seem to have some sort of potential to be great. I could definitely imagine track 6 being part of the smallville battle.

Every time I listen to "Look to the Stars", "Goodbye My Son", and "Krypton's Last" it make me feel like I want to cry. Damn those tunes pull at the heart stings. I keep think about the Mother that will never see her child again and the billions of men, women and children that are destined to die in that moment. :csad:

i demand Flight right now WB.
I have my eyes on that one, too. I have a feeling it's going to be a soundtrack highlight with the main theme, ala 'Time' where all the ingredients come together.

Yeah I've stopped waiting for another "time" when TDKR's "rise" severely disappointed. *sigh* :csad:

i think Flight will be the MOS music. the music that will be used in the sequel ;)

Or an unused track from that Denzel Washington movie. :funny:

I really like the last minute of the trailer music - if that made up 'Flight' I'd be a happy camper.
