Yeah, no kidding. Leading up to the film, all anyone said was, "Tarsem is a genius, Tarsem's visuals are so amazing, blah blah blah." But the visuals weren't all that great. The labyrinth looked like a cheap set from a stage play. And the castles (and the ONE village in all of Greece, apparently) looked dull and flat.

How dare you criticize the visionary behind, "Mirror, Mirror"! :argh:

:o

Poor guy... he made one truly awesome movie, and has pretty much failed to live up to it since...

From the general public standpoint: The Sixth Sense.

From my (and many fanboys) standpoint: Unbreakable.

Oh I forgot he did Unbreakable. That was pretty good too :)

My favorites are Unbreakable and Signs.

I did find both The Sixth Sense and The Village to be pretty good too. Lady in the Water and afterwards is were the questionable film making started for me personally.

Anyways back to Henry Cavill guys. :p

And The Village was an average movie.

I assume that the pic shows Superman in Smallville, now where are the ordinary Citizens ?

I was being sarcastic, I actually like loads of his films. I just don't think he fits the description we were using for Tarsem of having made 'one truly great film' and not managed it again.

Same here. :(

I really enjoyed Thor but that was easily my least favorite part. Here's hoping the fight in MOS is far more expansive in terms of scope than that lackluster Arizona fight in Thor.

I don't remember seeing a whole lot of extras in the Smallville set photos which appeared here. However, unlike Thor, we know the Smallville fight isn't going to be the third act climax.

It's all going to go down in Metropolis :word:

Well, technically the big climax was (the equally poor) Thor vs Loki in Asguard.

I was gonna say if there's Kryptonians smashing the place up I'm pretty sure the civillians in a small town will be hiding somewhere. Who knows maybe its like when there's a storm warning (we know there's a Tornado scene) and maybe the people of Smallville are all hiding out at the local school or wherever.

I have been waiting to see a shot like this of Cavill in the suit. He just looks so imposing and full of authority here. He'll own the screen.

I agree. Now give us a shot of Supes fighting Faora! That should be epic!

My brother was a huge fan of that film and screw TDK this was the most realistic superhero film. :oldrazz:
