Interesting interview linked by the Mos FB fan page today, with Clay Enos the official photographer for the film whose worked with Synder before. He was the one who took that topless pic of Cavill on set, with WB intentionally leaking it as a candid photo.
Can you please post the link to the facebook page and also the link to the interview.

Thanks.

I always believed that studios leaked photos. As for that photo in particular, they would have been stupid not to leak it.
Oh they were absolutely studio leaked. They are available in different qualities online for heaven's sake. It was definitely a promo shot, for which Cavill must have posed and flexed and then it was leaked anonymously and spread like wildfire all over the internet.

This was the very first set of shirtless photos released and instantly generated enormous positive word of mouth online. And the timing was killer, it literally happened days before the Immortals publicity tour, so Cavill could happily field questions about his Superman physique from awed journalists.

Honestly movie promotion these days works in so many meta ways, it is difficult to wrap my head around.

Yeah well, if you like them so much, maybe you can try and earn that same body yourself. :hehe:

Sorry I'm being so defensive on this. It pisses me off when people do this with women, and it's rarer that it happens to men. But it pisses me off just the same. :cmad:

I hate when people get like this sorry lol. But what am I saying that you feel the need to "defend" Cavill? I haven't said anything about his character or anything, all I was saying is that I feel that he should've kept some of his gains rather than losing it all, and that is my opinion.

One thing that I don't like about the hype is how posters become so possessive of actors they don't personally know, and insult other posters who they also know nothing about.

That "you were supposed to be the choosen one" thing is so goddamn hilarious. Mean but hilarious.

I really didn't understand where they were going with the Clark character. I thought halfway through, they were just going to get rid of the character altogether, because the handling of him in this movie was atrocious

It's not about Henry specifically. I'd go to bat for anyone experiencing the same thing. Just that you're here talking about Henry so... :oldrazz:

Because if you're saying it about a person you don't even know and likely won't ever meet, it's possible you're doing it to people in your own life. :o

I especially hate it when people do it to women, believe me. This happens all the time to female celebrities, but I've seen it talked about women in the speaker's real life too. "Oh, she looked so good when she was skinny! She should get back down to that weight!" No, go to hell. :argh:

I hate it when people are made to feel bad about their natural bodies. Just a pet peeve of mine. Just because Henry's not here doesn't make it a free pass. You might be doing it to people in your own life, and they don't deserve that.

Of course, I don't really know what you're like, but I never pass on an opportunity to edumacate someone. :oldrazz:

It's completely unfair to hold anyone up to ridiculous body standards. I said the same thing when a small minority on here were calling Amy Adams fat, when Anne Hathaway was called fat and then too skinny. Cavill looks perfectly healthy, I really don't give a crap that he isn't wasting his life staying in Superman shape. He can get in shape again if another movie is made.

I wondered that too. Like what would've been the harm in people knowing that his name is Clark Kent? They already know where he grew up and he hasn't functioned as Clark in several years using so many other identities. And if they continue to play it off like the government can't figure it out then that nullifies the whole "realism" aspect they seem to be striving for.

This is my big fear as well. If the army hasn't figured out by the sequel that Clark Kent is Superman it'll make it seem as though the have the intelligence of the average kindergartener. That kind of mistake will really suck me out of a movie.

Maybe you misunderstood me, or perhaps you're overly sensitive to this issue, but I was in no way whatsoever criticizing Cavill or holding him to any standards. Maybe you should read posts more carefully rather than assuming that someone needs a lecture from you.

I really admire Cavill as a person from what I've heard, and nowhere did I call him fat, unhealthy, or any other derogatory comments about his physique.

I simply mentioned that he has said he lost all the muscle he gained, and was simply questioning about the reasons, such as if he has a different role coming up etc. Other posters replied maturely and stated reasons like body fat and other things without resorting to personal insults like "you should try to gain those muscles yourself if you like them so much"

It's quite ironic that you seem to want to "educate" me about a subject which I have no part of, yet you make such an immature and childish comment. And yes, you are right, you do not know me personally at all. But what I do know is that I would not want to waste my time talking to such an opinionated judgmental person such as yourself.

Speaking of Henry's build. If anyone else is into lifting heavy things the current issue of Muscle and Fitness Mag has Henry on the cover. The articles include an interview mostly about his routine. Then there's a good M&F Superman style workout that's pretty detailed. There's also a pretty good Steve Reeves article/routine and he is mentioned in Henry's article too as the build inspiration (or more specifically his execution of the Greek Ideal).

Cavill was always my choice for Superman going back to the McG/Ratner days so I was really glad when he surprisingly got the role for MOS, and he lived up to my expecations.

It may sound hyperbolic, but personally I think he's the best Superman we've seen since Reeve.

That's not hyperbolic at all. No offense to Cain, Welling, and Routh, but I feel like Cavill took the role and really made it his own. The only guy I watch without thinking about Reeve.

That's what I like to see: Chris concurring with Chris about.. Chris (Reeve).
