LOL, whatever happened to the actor who played the hero in that movie... the guy who looked like the illegitimate son of Chris Kattan and Kenny G?

I always thought Stardust would have been better had Cavill and that guy switched roles. Still a good movie though.

I thought the same thing :woot:

Thank you for the link. Henry does kind of shut down when an interviewer, particularly a woman, goes the physical route on him.
I think it was Cavill being really humble about his achievement. He didn't want to sound boastful when the pictures were clearly doing their job in stunning people, he didn't want to rub it in that he had an extra-ordinary physique. Only when Luke Evans said "Go on, be proud" did he admit that he indeed had an eight pack.

Charlie Cox? yeah, I developed a huge crush on him after stardust :hehe:, but yeah, Henry should have been the lead, maybe he was just too hot for the role :o

Hey hey now I love Henry as much as the next gal but the lead in Stardust was fantastic.

This is the Hype. You know we can't like one thing without blatantly dismissing the other. :o

Does anyone think MOS didn't capture Cavill's maximum hotness? :oldrazz:

Ehh superman should be more than just hot. I thought cavill was great but someone like reeve had this sort of majestic look as superman that was beyond "hot".

Cavill's Superman was the most majestic we have seen. Reeve's Superman was like a casual nice guy.

I wouldn't put one over the other. They both represent perfectly their verison of superman each in their unique way. I just personally feel reeve still has that "timeless" look that even in another 30 years will be hard to top but it was good cavill did his own thing as opposed to aping reeve.

The best thing about Reeve's performance was that he portrayed absolute virility and confidence without ever coming across as swaggering or macho. That was the genius of his performance. He was badass and capable but also always nice and good, never *****ey or smug or threatening. He pulled of a brilliant balance me thinks where he absolutely looked and acted like the powerful god that he was but always undercut with humility and winning concern for the people.

Cavill still needs to get there. Cavill has the face, has the physique. I think he slightly lacks in the acting department but he can always learn that. But I wonder if you can "act" confidence. You have to "be" confident to be able to fully pull of the surety of a character like Supes.

I give Cavill credit for having some of those aspects you talk about with reeve, namely in that he's a really handsome guy but he doesn't give off the vibe of a *****e or a jock or some conceited guy, which is the risk you can get with a lot of actors in this generation.

I hope he gets a chance to better showcase more of his acting talents in the sequel.

ps. It would have been awesome to see how Reeve would have taken to the workout cavill was put through. He probably would have looked awesome.
