Incidentally, Routh and Kate Bosworth are FAILING in that picture you just posted. Odd thing about Routh is that the production team involved with SR made him look less like Superman than he does naturally.

Not just this picture - the majority of stills released for SR were failures IMO. Think of that first photo of Routh in costume. Yikes!

Snyder and Nolan absolutely must make sure the stills released for MOS are stunning eye-catchers and nothing like we got with SR.

What's wrong with naturally curly hair it will look fine it gives a more realistic reason why he has a curl. Superman Has at least 1 but in most comics his hair is at least wavy. BUT... the curl goes on the opposite side of the head as Rouths version and to me was part of what was wrong with the overall look

Looking at Cavill/Adams, a few things come to mind:

- I really hope that they have chemistry on-screen. They're both good-looking too which doesn't hurt.

- I also hope MOS plays up Adams as a sexy/self-assured Lois, sorta like the DCAU version. I haven't really liked any of the live-action interpretations so far (Kidder, Hatcher, Durance) because they just didn't exude the right vibe, but I hope Adams changes all that. Adams is seriously hot (to me, anyway) and I'd love to see her Lois in some appropriately sexy attire in the right kind of scene (like on her red carpet pics for example - I'm thinking of parts from STAS where she attended social functions). Bosworth was super-drab in SR, I want a Lois that looks hot! In fact, I think it'd make for a better movie if that element of STAS made it into MOS - there were lots of episodes where Lois was somewhere, either on her own or with Clark, like a press announcement, or a party, etc. And then a villain crashes the scene so Clark has to change into Supes.

- I wouldn't complain if MOS plays up Superman as being an object of desire for every woman in Metropolis either, especially given Cavill's looks. There's a line in STAS about that somewhere (the episode that featured Maxima).

Yeah, Cavill's jaw alone owns Routh.

Yeah, Cavill's jawline is the traditional square-jawed Superman look. Routh has an oval shaped face and is not really square-jawed.

But more important than the jaw is the presence Cavill has. It is palpable and comes through in his still shots.

Routh simply didin't have that presence. Or Boswoth. They both look underwhelming in that photo.

Most actors don't. Cavill is, like Reeve, probably one of the few actors capable of doing the role justice because of his unique charisma/presence. IMO.

True but notice how the whole effect of the photo is tranformed by the manip of Cavill onto it. This guy has a presence that is palpable and perfect for Superman.

The manip'd photo is far more impressive than the original w/Routh.

The other biggie - that Henry and Amy have beaucoup chemistry.

Kate is beautiful too but she and Routh had like zero chemistry. Hopefully Snyder wasn't as sloppy as Singer in casting these roles.

Yeah. I think Adams is going to shine as Lois. She has that energetic and bubbly type of personality and then she will add that take charge professional reporter attitude. Plus she will look hot I'm sure.
