SO disappointed.

Of all the changes they made from SR, the only things I've really liked so far are the neckline/cape attachment and boots.
Also, with all the things they are doing different, why would they not bring the cape \S/ back?

I was hoping they were going to have the \S/ on the cape is SOME fashion (yellow on yellow, yellow on red, red on yellow, yellow outline), so it's a little disappointing to me that it's not there. The cape looks nice, though, and it's just thrilling to see our first on-set photo of the Superman costume, whether or not it's actually Henry wearing it. Want more photos!

looks like Snyder has followed Singer in failing to get the basic elements of a costume correct.

having said that though, at least Singer made Superman wear his trunks, and made Lois Lane dye her hair.

these people love to suck the fantasy and fun of Superman out of the character.

Alright. I got this HC edition of the Greatest Superman stories ever told and started reading it and the first story is the first encounter with Superman and Luthor. i have to say that although the story is very dated it is still AWESOME!! Superman is really funny and a lot of fun in this story and i hope the new movie is like that. I really like Superman`s sarcastic and dry humor and this is something that's been lost in the past years. Superman has become this really boring big boy scout since that stupid writer released the book THE SEDUCTION OF THE INNOCENT that really ruined comics. Chris Reeve's Superman had a bit of that with "Bad vibrations" and "Is there something wrong with the elevator?". In this story, Superman is carrying this scientist jumping/flying and the guy says "I--must be dreaming" and he answers "With your eyes open?". There's a bunch of these exemples. I hope Henry's Superman has this sense of humor in the movie because that's something i find lacking in the past years and representations of Superman especially SR in which Superman was just this silent boring guy.

Remind me again how trunks, a cape symbol and a brunette Lois equal "fantasy and fun."

Seriously, if you somehow think the lack of trunks or Lois' hair being a different color will decide how good the movie is, you are completely missing the point.

Compairing Singer's vision to Snyder's isn't going to get you anywhere until we see the final product. Everything I've seen regarding this movie has only furthered the chances of it being the best superman we've seen in a long time.

Saying Snyder and Nolan are "burying" it because of a missing emblem on the cape is completely nonsensical.

I'm sorry to hear you feel that way, I really am. I can only speak for myself when I say, despite my disappointment in it not being there (I would have preferred to have it on the cape), it doesn't ruin anything for me. We've still got Superman in blue tights, red boots, and a big freakin' red cape. I'm going to remain optimistic, as ever, until I see something that REALLY worries me about this production.
