God, I just picked up that issue. That is so stupid. It doesn't even make sense. The reason Deadpool can do that is because he made a pack with Death itself. But this is ridiculous, he has no brain, no tissue left, no fuel to regenerate....it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever... And how the hell did Wolverine hear him???

Also I just wanna point out that just cause Wolverine's ultimate potential was stated to make him immortal doesnt mean he should ever reach that potential.
The "ultimate potential" of any human in the MU is the destiny force which basically makes people gods. That doesnt mean JJJ should eventually be able to beat Thor in a one on one fight.

Also strangling/suffocating/asphyxiating him wouldnt work. Clearly he can heal from brain damage. I guess a telepathic mindwipe wouldnt work either for the same reason.

Were I to try to kill wolverine and i had the length and breadth of the MU to draw from? I'd use the heart of forever to erase him from time. Like go back and kill him before he was born or something. Of course you'd have to do it a long time before he was born otherwise the writers might just have the unborn fetus of wolverine bring them both back because of ridiculous healing or something. LoL of course the way things are going even that might not work. Pretty soon he might be able to heal from temporal erasure too.

The thing that makes less sense than him recovering from that is the ridiculous non-continuity. If it takes minutes to heal from being blown up. It should takes secounds--less than secounds to heal from knife or bullet wounds

Watched the movie again last night and it occured to me . One word...

If I were trying to kill Wolverine then here´s what I would do:

First, fire a small projectile into his eye and into his brain were it would bounce around and make paste of his brain. I would then pour some industrial strength acid into the eye socket which should dissolve any remaining brain tissue as well as go down his spinal column. Once that´s done I would pour concrete into the skull, then incase him completely in cement and bury him under several tons of rocks.

Whoever buys the "Wolverine regenerates at a cellular level, with a potential to grow back from a single cell thus regenerating whole body parts shouldn't be a problem" should honestly do some research. You may sound smart while trying to explain it biologically, but have you re-read your arguments? It's laughable.

If he lost his eyes, how on earth would cells from his freakin skin know how (and when) to grow back eyeballs? Or, if he sustains a severe concussion (like a nuke, or the Hulk), and his brain turns to mush, how would his brain cells re-establish the billions of trillions of neural synapses of unimaginable complexity with each other?

It doesn't matter if he can regenerate an infinite number of brain cells. The brain is more than how many brain cells are in it. The whole is *infinitely* greater than the sum of its parts.

If he loses his heart, how would his blood cells duplicate into a functioning heart? The heart may not be as complex as the brain is, but it also depends on all its cells working as a unit to function properly.

If Wolverine's cells can multiply as well as differentiate themselves into different cell types with all the appropriate neural/hormonal/a billion other connections with each other, then the logical extension is that there should be more than one Logan running around, cloned by his own healing factor whenever he bleeds or something. Otherwise, you cannot have Logan regrowing himself from a skeleton but only have one Logan running around.

At least with Spider-man you can blame his stingers or what not on some new spidey power he acquired (however dumb that may be). With Logan, he doesn't have a new power - this is an existing one upgraded to the realm of comical, let alone scientific, impossibility and just...lameness.

Why? because having him heal from just about anything (incineration, bullets through the brain etc) makes giving him an unbreakable skeleton later (the purpose of which was to make him tougher and harder to kill), completely pointless: he doesn't need it and never did.

Heh, I'm glad my refrence led you to actually research the comic, it's more than most are willing to do. Incernerated to a charred skeleton, left to freeze to death, burned in a fire, several bullets to the brain and through it, with some lodged, ect. and he did THAT before he got his skeleton.

Nope, but with all the bullets in his brain, without the skeleton, a firing squad of 20 professional soilders firings full clips were bound to blast through the veterbrae connecting to the base of his skull. As to completely removing it? No. It's the only example from Xaiver and ironically enough, never put to the test.

and (2) I dont care how indestructable adamantium is, without his body there to hold it together shouldn't his skull (or some other bones) have like... fallen (or been blasted) off or something, making healing (or at least healing back with all his adamantium in tact) impossible at that point.


I think the writer (whoever he was, this isnt one of my usual reads) just wanted to add a little bit to wolverine legend. "i'm the guy that had wolverine heal back from a skeleton". All in all it wasnt a great read. Now i understand why DC wanted to mock wolverine with Lobo.

I dunno how much oxygen he could have gotten trapped beneath a glacier for years but he survived that and if your brain is literally incenerated, I'm pretty sure oxygen deprevation isn't going to mean a damn thing.

As to the Lobo deal, they wanted to mock him, sure, but they also wanted to cash in on some of that Wolverine aura.
